Surely if this bid is true Roma must agree to sell right??? 30-40 mill range for a 29 year old CDM. What more could they possibly want. I know this saga has went on for the past three transfer windows. But, I've never felt more confident that it could happen.

P.S. Does anyone know of his relationship with Mario? Is it a good one? Obviously, im sure DDR is good mates with Totti. Totti had that terrible stamp to Mario's head in the past. Just curious if anyone can shed a light on their relationship if there is one. Not trying to be a WUM here but im not sure if Kompany and Hazard had the best relationship with one another. However it did seem Hazard was close with the Belgium players that play for Chelsea. I really think that could have made a difference in his choice(along with money and living in London)

You`ve completely lost me !

Re: De Rossi

Balo and DDR got along well enough at the Euros.

If this offer is true I think Roma will cave in and it'll all be down to whether we can finally pry him away from Rome. He'll never get another opportunity like this to go to a team that can win so much.

"Mario is not a difficult character at all," he said. "We treat him as one of the squad, no more, no less.

"On Sunday I shouted at him at half-time but that has happened thousands of times in my career with players. There are no problems with him and there have never been any. He is a very good player.

"There is no need for us to have a word with him, that is up to the coach, and we don't need to make any extra effort with him."<br /><br />-- Tue Aug 14, 2012 8:37 pm --<br /><br />

Haha I Apologize if I wasn't clear. I'll summarize...
Roma would be crazy to turn down that amount of money for a 29yr old CDM
What is De Rossi's relationship with Mario like...does anyone know?
To piggy back on that, I feel like Kompany isn't the biggest fan of Hazard and that may have affected the transfer a little bit whereas some of Hazards close friends already play for Chelsea (Lukaku, De Bryune, and Coutorious)

Could De Rossi play in defence with the 3-5-2?

No question of his talent pudge, just major doubts of his availabilty.

he played for italy as the middle of their back 3
Exactly, would be an absolute quality signing imo.

I think I'd cry if we signed him.

tears of joy of course

I got to 2nd that. I love Barry and the passion he has brought these past three seasons. But,this man is an elite footballer. Would be the most excited i've been since the Tevez signing to be honest.

Re: De Rossi

Damn. Every time I see this thread at the top of the page I hope and fucking hope that when I open it there's a pic of him in a City shirt.
Still no joy but this would be amazing.

Re: De Rossi

I have bought a new prayer mat, I think I better start using it.

They would be the best midfield pairing in the world. No doubt about it.

Re: De Rossi

To be a bit serious is Alfredo Pedulla quite a creditable journo?
