I don´t get why people compares Song with DDR. You cant only look at the spending for a player, but also take into account the income you will get for the player.
DDR with his one long sleeve shirt, would become a world know football icon.
The income would rise beyond the extra income from shirt sales.
Song would be a mkay signing i terms of marketing, DDR would be on another planet.

I fell the same for RVP and Balotelli.
Baconface didn't just RVP for his goals, he bought him as the worlds new poster boy, and they needed that.
Balotelli even thou his off-field antics draws the clubs a lot of headache and negativity still gives the club so much more. Describe this summers euro with a picture and you would think

[bigimg]http://i.ytimg.com/vi/xL6plgXmGxY/0.jpg[/bigimg]

Think premier league 2011/2012 and you would think

[bigimg]http://mit.zenfs.com/210/2011/10/baloshirt.jpg[/bigimg]

DDR would be a statement and a sound investment.

Those who think song is better than Rossi might just have a look at it,song can be reborn again but can never perform such moves.

Doesn't offer any encouragement re DDR.

I'm in support of us getting Derossi but i think you are taking it too far . De rossi to increase shirt sales ? Haha De rossi is a man's man and people like that don't sell shirts . Fancy boys like Beckham and Cristina sell shirts . Balo sells shirts too but that's because of his explosive personality . De Rossi would strengthen our midfield and i would love to see him here BUT lets not get desperate about this transfer , I would consider spending anything more than 20M+ A player or spending more than 25Million on him a desperate move.

We'll talk personal terms with his agent and make sure he wants to come here before bidding. His agent being allowed to talk to City should be encouragement enough for now, it surely means Roma have granted permission so would accept the right offer. I think it might all come down to the players wishes/demands.

Manchester City will not be following up their interest in Israel international Nir Biton.

The Blues played the 20-year-old midfielder against Arsenal in the tour match in Beijing. He also spent time at Carrington last season. City were interested in taking Biton on loan but work permit regulations don’t allow for loans and City were not convinced of the 6ft 5in player.

The Blues have also put the future of striker John Guidetti on hold until he recovers from a nervous problem which caused him to lose sensation in his right leg. Guidetti is not expected to be fit until the end of October at the earliest

City insist they have not made another bid for Italy star Daniele de Rossi, despite claims they have lodged a £33m offer with his club Roma, while another summer target, Javi Martinez, has joined Bayern Munich for £31m.

MUEN? Do they ever have much decent ITK knowledge.

I am remaining optimistic.

The MUEN will be the last to know ....

Tuttomercato says our starting base is €30million and that Roma will demand €40million so that a fee is attainable.

How many times do you see a club come out and say yeh we have bid for De Rossi see you next week if we sign him.

The MEN as well fucking hell. Better take it as the truth.

Sad news . Nir Biton looked like a future Fellaini , His towering height in the Midfield would definitely be an advantage when he becomes an experienced player . On the bright side i am happy we didn't get Martinez , He was all HYPE just like M'vila . I think we are good they way we are BUT if we can get DDR for a REASONABLE amount then we would be even better if not then lets snap up Drenthe for free. He is above average and he has that spark of creativity , He could fit well in our midfield PLUS he would be coming for free.

40million for a 29year old ? Let them keep him. Lets offer LFC 25Million out of that amount for Agger and then use 15Million to get someone like Khedira as soon as RM finalizes the Modric deal OR Dembele from Fulham (Khedira and Dembele are both better than NDJ). Why should we pay 40M for a 29yr old ? Even Messi wouldn't worth that much when he is 29/30. WTF!

Hilarious choice of song, never thought anyone would use a bit of Christina in a football montage. It's still better than the shite stuff they usually put on these kind of montages

€40m = £31m, and Agger for £25m would be a shocking move. Also, you seriously think Mourinho would let Khedira go for £15m?!

agger isnt worth 25 million

Would you rather play Kolo in a 3 man defense ? Well judging from our recent matches the 3-5-2 seems to be our formation for the season and when you play that formation you need 3 quality CB. Agger - Kompany -Lescott . Agger is a world class CB and he is definitely worth 25M.

Mancini said recently the 3-5-2 was just for pre season due to lack of players and there fitness being at different levels, we will play 4-2-3-1 when the season starts this weekend
