I am certainly clinging on to the hope that he wants to come back with a vengeance and try get a place in the Germany squad. Missing two major tournaments will be a big blow to him.

The worry is what frame of mind Leroy and Aymeric are going to be in each game. Two injuries like that must be in the players heads, and may impact on how hard they're willing to go into tackles, avoid 50/50 challenges etc. Could be next season when we see them in full flow again, that's if Leroy is still here of course.
