What do you think a fair price is - not a lunatic one? I know that a lot people here have mixed feelings - but let's try to be objective - if you would be another club what would you pay for a player like Sane in the current situation.

  • He had a fantastic 17/18 season - in a team that was fantastic and where he played a role that was adjusted to his ability. In a different set-up in the next season he lost his first team place in the second half of the season.
  • The following season he missed (until now - we do not know what happens next) because of a knee injury. There is always a question mark if he can get back to full capacity afterwards - there is bigger questionmarks if that will go without problems already in the following season (if I look into players with long knee injuries there always were problems in the next season)
  • Contract runs out 2021 so he would be a free agent next season
  • The current market season with/after Corona (In my eyes that crisis will have a big impact on the market. The clubs do not know if they can play with fans next season, if their sponsors can pay as much money as before, how much the season will be influenced by the virus. And - clubs that have money might be able to make a lot bargains.

I think the likelihood will be the sale price will be 50-60 million mark also.

A lot less than we could have expected last season but his injury, current situation and another year passed on his contract has changed that.

Wish the lad well. His potential is unlimited but I do wonder if he really will kick on and make the most of his ability. I genuinely hope he will, as its been a pleasure watching him these last couple of years and develop from the rabbit in the headlights, he looked on his debut. No hard feelings from me as he has been a great servant to the club.

Indeed he did ,still isn’t a derby and a title deciding game though m8, they was in early January I recall

There are few players who have scored in title deciding games, in fact I am not sure if he has played in one.

Maybe its a false perception on my part but I think he is a big game player.

Edit just had a look he has scored at old trafford, couple against Arsenal, 3 v liverpool, equaliser at Schalke, when down to 10 men, away at Monaco. Its a pretty good record

my biggest gripe with him is you could tell after 5 minutes if he was gonna be absolute trash or have a blinder, there was no in between, he would never just have a good game.
If it didn’t go well early doors he’s head would drop and there was no coming back and he would be garbage.

I have a couple of times but Ive always made my reasons clear for the moves and given the employer plenty of time

Ive never done it to further my career or for a pay increase however - just for relationship and family reasons.

The only reasons Leroy is leaving are for money and bruised ego about not being a regualr first team starter - he isnt going to a better club or different job
What a complete load of utter fucking bollocks, the contract has been on the table for 2 years plus in which he would have been getting paid a significantly higher wage, equating to roughly £8-10m. Not only that but we would probably have increased that contract again 12 months later just like we did with De Bruyne, Sterling, Bernardo, Ederson and Laporte; to put it down to just "money" is frankly ludicrous. Bayern aren't exactly known for paying extortionate wages either.

Sane may very well make that back with a big fat signing on fee but it's a huge risk on his behalf considering the potentially career threatening injury he's returning from, I'm not sure even Jimmy Carr's accountant wouldn't take that risk.

And quite frankly if you've never left a job for one with more pay - more fool you!!

Playing against farmers lol

When did he score the winner in a derby and title deciding game ??
If you mean that shot straight at de gea that a keeper saves 999/1000 I think you’ll find we were 0-1 up and it wasn’t a winner fella.

made the score line 0-2 and a winner is taking game from a draw to a win
rags and dipper games last season

why twist it,he was brilliant in the centuries season, despite not playing much last season his stats were good

he is a rare talent,i am piissed off we are losing him

I think there was spells where his form dipped and I think it was Bournemouth at home around Christmas, he seemed to have little ‘appetite’ for the game.

Not unusual in young players though that inconsistency, sometimes we forget how young he is, and being actutely sensitive to form.

Why would he sack off his opportunity for a massive signing on bonus that he will get by Bayern paying less or signing him on a free, just so we can get full price for him?
Yes this is true, forgot about that part. Just really ticks me off that Bayern consistently use this tactic for German players and get away with it.

Ignore the troll. you were bang on with the liverpool reference. If we didnt win that its doubtful we would have won the league. That set the tone and momentum for our challenge and put the shits up the dippers.

He is also a young dad which is difficult for a lot of them, maybe playing seemed less important for a while
