Yeah, I'm not getting excited about Sane until he's home and it's announced.

Many a world class player has been tapped up on international duty.

For me he's the highest ceiling of any player I've ever seen at the club so I'll do backflips once he's nailed down, but for now I'm still nervous of Bayern and Real sniffing around.

If/when he does sign, it will be the biggest signal to date of our power and the old guards inability to lure our players.
I can’t recall any of our players being lured away in the last few seasons - unless we wanted to get rid - the one exception being Jadon Sancho - so yeah it looks like we have a settled dressing room/management

Bang on, has the natural talent to achieve messi/fake ronaldo levels, just needs to add consistency and experience with a pinch of right attitude and he's away
He reminds me more of Thierry Henry - and remember he was a winger at Juventus - Wenger played him more central and that was the making of him

Certainly a better comparison than the other 2. 23 and struggling to get a game ahead of Sterling,Mahrez and Bernardo so to even mention him in the same sentence as Messi is ridiculous. He also has nowhere near the talent of Ronaldo. Absolutely brilliant player who if he finds a bit more consistency and drive could become truly world class.

I really hope this is true, Sane was praising Pep yesterday and so it seems that while he tends to look unhappy at times he knows where his bread is buttered.

As for Zinch, he is going to be some player. He has been exceptional this year and in my opinion has now nailed down the left back spot as his own.

I think his unhappiness comes from being substituted or not playing . He loves to play. But he has to understand, for that to happen, he has to play
consistently at a high level. Some days he looks a shadow of the player we know he is.

Just sign Leroy FFS, where else could he go, earn that sort of money with a better coach for his style and otter young word class players around him who they all get on with?!

Reads to me like there’s a bit of a stalemate and City are trying to put a bit of pressure on him via the press.

The story is a flyer, nothing more.

Leroy is well short of £90k a week (Well short) and that betrays how informed it is, certainly not a steer from City.

Zinchenko people were in this week, so that appears close.

Leroy will sign, even if City have to blink a bit more.

Personally have a feeling, a lot like Raheem, that Sane will let his talent do the talking over the last month or so (there were those who scorned at sterling’s potential wage increase) by achieving the unimaginable as a club, it strengthens every players position.. let’s be real here, if he wants it we all know that he can turn it on and be unplayable, at times. If that means we win an unprecedented amount of trophies then it’s worth every penny... all the lad is missing is consistency, I’ll wager that will be eradicated very soon!

I don't think he's inconsistent at all.

I think it's a combination of some teams double teaming the wingers and using that horseshoe shape, coupled with Raz or Bernardo at least having Walker pushing up to loosen it on the other side.

Only recently has Zinchenko found his rhythm and started to realise if he cuts inside it kills this tactic, up until then himself and Delph fell right into the trap and allowed the opposition to negate Sane.

I still maintain he's our best player, we're just seeing him affected by what's behind him.

He's going to decimate over the next 15 games as teams try to shut Raz down. I've little doubt.

He has the highest ceiling, that we can agree on, however, he’s been culpable a number of times this season of failing to maintain the high levels he has shown in patches... doubling up doesn’t negate isolated poor touches or feeling sorry for himself when things don’t go his way, this also plays a part in the consistency levels...

Horses for courses anyway.... Pep continues to manage the situation excellently, so much so it appears we’re going to get prime Sane for the run in, win win!!!

When Leroy is on his game he is arguably one of the best wingers in the world. But there is an option to put him in a more central role as Germany did in the week.

His 1st half performance at the Emirates last season was scintillating and I hope he can deliver this on a more consistent basis.
