In an ideal world I’d prefer him to stay and fight for his place but I get the feeling that his mind is elsewhere and has been for a good few months.

Read somewhere that Silva wanted to go back to Spain when his son was starting at school, and that won`t happen before a couple years, so Japan could maybe be a possibility, now that he`s won the treble. He`s getting old, and it must be very challenging for someone his age playing as much as he has this season. Really, really hope he stays, but I wouldn`t be surprised if he left

If it’s about his child and wanting to grow up in Germany, then there’s nothing wrong with that. At least we won’t be seeing him in PL against us. Just hope we get top dollar for him sooner rather than later. If he wants to go, we would be better off letting him go in the summer and ‘bed in’ a replacement.

None of this takes the shine off for me. VK’s in his twilight and goes with our blessing, hopefully to return one day. And, while I’d much rather keep Sane, we could absorb his loss. Besides, it’s just speculation.
As for the reporter thing, Pep handled it really well but we can expect plenty more. We’re so good on the pitch that this is how the no-marks will choose to tackle us, specially those of red persuasion. Well I’d rather be in our boots than theirs. Fcuk em all.
