Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac: "I talked to Pep [Guardiola] and apologised for my statement [on Leroy Sané]. I was too offensive. I will hold back in the future. I also want to apologize to the club [Manchester City].” [via @altobelli13]

They are desperate to get him, maybe we are in talks and they are scared we will pull out? at least those who wanted the club to say something will be happy
Yeah that’s some statement, the complete opposite of how they usually talk about us,beginning to think that if they hadn’t a positive response from Leroy’s camp then they would have been spouting shite about us,smoothing things over possibly preparing for him to move there ...

They must surely be being encouraged by City. We’re definitely well up for selling him, I think that’s clear. The problem we have is the classic Bayern tactics. They know how to get players on the cheap once the threat of losing the player for free becomes real. This is happening. It’s just a case of when.

Sadly i think you are right
Fuckity fuck

Munich most certainly been told to pipe the fuck down. Sane put a post out on twitter as well, something like 'good session today'. Normally that would be nothing but alongside those comments put of Germany it's pretty clear words have been had.

Personally I think this is going to happen this window now

Not sure how this will play out now, I hope Sane stays, but at least the German Rags will keep their gobs shut for a few weeks now.

Sounds like it’s definitely happening. Whether that’s now, next summer, in January, who knows. Depends on how the talks go. But yeah, he’s definitely leaving.

Is this the first time we have been in a situation like this since the takeover?

I dont recall any previous.

Not sure where this "good relationship" with ourselves is coming from , Rummenigge and Hoeness have done nothing but make derogatory comments about our club since we became a threat to them ,he was a cheating diving tw*t when he was a player and now he's a two faced prick as a CEO , i could get used to the idea of Sane leaving our club for PSG , Juventus , Milan etc., but going to play for the German Rags after their recent behaviour absolutely not.

I’d say so yeah. We’ve no doubt had plenty of approaches for our players before, but it’s been easy to repel them as the players have been so sure that they want to stay. Any we’ve sold, we have wanted to sell.

I feel like this has been inevitable though. Even two years ago we were posting saying that Sané will be the one that breaks the trend. I always felt it would be a move to Spain, but didn’t consider Bayern, don’t know why. You get a feeling with certain players, and my feeling has always been that Sané wouldn’t stay here for the long haul like Aguero, Silva, Vinnie etc.

Unfortunately I agree.

Another little twist coming out of Bayern.

The manager has said he is increasingly confident of bringing the Germany winger to the Bundesliga, but his boss isn't happy

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was annoyed by comments made by Bayern Munich Manager Niko Kovac about Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Bayern’s interest in Sane is no secret, and Kovac said recently that he was confident about signing the 23-year-old.

But club chief Rummenigge is concerned that making a statement about a player under contract at City could harm relations between the two clubs, particularly with City boss Pep Guardiola vocal about his desire to keep him.

"I did not like what he said,” Rummenigge told ZDF.

“We have a good relationship with Manchester City and our former coach Pep Guardiola.

“Sane still has a contract there. Neither optimistic nor pessimistic quotes do anything to help us in that matter."

Good relationship!?!?

These are the ****s that most people suspect are behind all the allegations made by that German comic

Wouldn't read too much into the latest comments. Personally think it's more likely to mean they've been told to back off or face the consequences

Can’t lie ..quite surprised by how many people think these quotes from Kovac means Leroy’s off. Think it’s the opposite,he’ll stay, was always staying imo. Pretty happy with these quotes tbh
Completely agree, seems to me that they've been warned, we do our talking in private. Sane will ask for assurances of more game time imho.
