Important to remember that Sane's camp and the lad himself have been very involved in all of this.

Pep or the club wont forget it either imo.
Yep. Sane has clearly wanted the move. I don’t blame him: it’s pretty much a “like for like” and he’s German. I don’t think Pep is the type to hold grudges, though, as long as Sane gives his all.

I liken it mate to the Yaya proxy.

Leroy knows what he is agreeable to and just assumed all the moving parts involved would be able to do his bidding, absolving him of any real blame.

Let's see how much Bayern really do value him now?

We are still in a relatively strong position.

Any type of ACL injury places a huge question mark over a player's head, going forward.

However, Sane knows there is a deal to be signed with City which still affords both him and ourselves a large degree of financial protection.

If he is able to return to his best, Bayern know other teams will then be at the table.

"The English", eh?

In just two words, Hoeness provides all the insight we need.

Such disdain tells me Bayern can't do the deal even if they wanted to now.

They have needed Leroy straight away and hold City ultimately responsible because of our sheer bare-faced cheek to refuse all summer to deal at a price of their choosing.

Coupled with whatever injury Leroy may possibly have sustained, a low-ball offer does not solve their immediate requirement, or force City's hand.

The only people responsible for this outcome are Bayern and Sane's camp, a mixture of arrogance and complete disrespect towards our club.

Leroy's people may well regret negotiating with both sides up until 2 weeks ago, because if they'd made up their minds in June, I suspect a deal would have been done at €100m or there abouts, and we'd have picked someone like Joao Felix up.

I disagree, I think Pep wants him, and will use him as soon as he can, his "camp" though are another matter, but since he knows seems to have a new "camp" who knows what they think/want now he's injured.

The info changed on Felix in early June, bud.

The briefings from City were they were still hopeful Sane would renew but even if he left, there would be no replacement, certainly not with someone we valued closer to £70m.

Like you, I suspect City would have dealt earlier at around £100m but our price just went up as they tried to systematically fuck is over.

Leroy was clearly being promised the difference in his wages, in terms of every saving they made against a transfer fee.

If City were like some other clubs, we could withdraw our contract offer completely.

He have been offering an extra £140k a week on top of his current £65k.

That's £7m we could save right there against having to accept a lower transfer fee next year, in light of any serious injury.

What's Leroy gonna do, he's hardly in a position to down tools if he is out for any serious length of time?

Agents moving players for profit is what we see and if the rules where changed tomorrow that said its illegal for any club to pay an agent and that all agents representing players have to be paid by that player you would see players happy to see contracts out.

Id love to know what was promised by Bayern to his agents/family in all this?
