December 6th 1969 My earliest City memory. Whats your's?

Not Swales thank the Lord! Granada TV Rentals 10" B&W (on a 7-day trial). Half the street came round to watch. The telly came with an indoor aerial, some of the visitors took turns to hold it by the window. When their arms tired and dropped, the picture started rolling and the watchers screamed abuse at them. Happy days!
Fabulous mate

I'm 55
i was first took by my dad and grandad
i know it was 1969/70,I'd be 4
don't know the game,me dads still with us but he can't remember my first game
i always remember though,my grandad would lift me up and take me in with him and just pay for himself
he always used to say " future supporter " and he was always allowed to get me in free
and true to his word i kept my side of the bargain !
Same age as me, we could have sat next to each other on the wall at the front of the Kippax.

7 May '55. My mum had made me a blue 'n white rosette and I went off to my Dad's mate's house who had a 7in telly. Jackie Milburn, first minute for The Barcodes. I've not quite got over it 'cos I always feel a need for any team playing NUFC to score in the first minute.

My mate had the the red and black chequer board shirt back when we were 6 in school. Begged my mum for one and we managed to get one from Newton Heath market of all places, dad dragged me to Boundary Park in back in 1989 where Gary Megson popped up and scored. The whole Rochdale road end was a sea of inflatable bananas. It was freezing that day, think it was around about February time. That season got me hooked as we were promoted that year at Bradford, for better or worse been obsessing over City ever since.

very similar to my my "beginning". Walked from Withington to Heaton Moor with Dad and Granddad to watch that game on a posh aunty's tele, remember Bobby Johnstone scoring a blinder with a diving header, that game made me a blue for life. Cannot remember the first game at MR, i do remember Everton goalkeeper , Albert Dunlop being called rubberdick,
and how Stan Matthews put thousands on the gate.
