None of the figures are ever a surprise anymore but the comparison is still a bit interesting. City have done quite well but then again I recall last year we were a bit flat and this year all the Premier teams have gone up quite a bit except the RAGs, probably due to an obvious lack of success

Spurs are nearly catching Arsenal which was unthinkable a few years ago. And Real are top but if you take into account successive CL wins, I wonder what their base income is if they get knocked out early for a year or 2?

Maybe worth discussing that we are at £504M, whilst the Evil Ex-Empire is on £590M. Whilst the wooden headed one allegedly has a lot in the pipeline, we've got Puma onboard plus some more dirty CFG deeds to come no doubt, so I don't think that gap is very big at all. Also unthinkable a few years ago.

WE ARE COMING

It's all bit beyond simple pasting anymore, so here are the links, DeLoittes in euros and Sky in £££s. Someone more tech-savvy may insert the pretty pictures

I'm not sure whether I should post this in here or the media coverage thread

Were the accounts from the 16/17 season? In that time to now we’ve won the Premier league and they broke the bank buying Sanchez on silly wages. Will be interesting to see what it stands at now, won’t be long till we are drawing in more cash then them. Doesn’t matter anyway we have spent better than them since about 2011 onwards, it’s not about how much cash you got it’s what you do with it.

What's the usual percentage ?

It's around 50%, where we're at, the insinuation in that tweet is that our commercial revenue all comes from Abu Dhabi but the last time I checked Nissan, Nexen, Nike ( soon to be Puma), Hays, Wolfblass, Heineken, EA sports, Cussons, Wix etc. aren't based in Abu Dhabi.

Thanks. The other insinuation I picked up was that the actual percentage of comnercial deals was not only inflated but higher than other clubs who might rely more on gate money (large crowds) or prize money (through success on the pitch). Perhaps reading more into it than was actually there.

Here's the percentage of comercial deals to total revenue for those top 6 clubs:
Real Madrid 47.4%
Barcelona 46.7%
Rags 47.5%
Bayern Munich 55.4%
Man City 46.7%
PSG 57.8%

So we're actually the joint lowest of that group.

And the Adidas fuelled Bayern are top of the list, any Spiegel thoughts !
