Democrat US Presidential Nominations

Thats interesting, Joe and Bernie announced six joint task forces made up of Bernie and Biden staff to develop policy in the run up to the election. I think thats a super smart way to hopefully bridge the gap between the progressive wing of the party and the moderates and bring more people into the fold. Almost like Biden knows how to do this politics thing.

You mean made better concessions to his first shitty attempt?

Quite possibly.

It doesn't really matter how, he got the job done. At this point in 2016 Bernie and Hillary were still sniping at each other all day long and Biden getting Bernie's endorsement at this stage in the race is a pretty big deal in terms of bringing the party together in time for the fall. Watching the livestream the two of them did today it was pretty clear that they actually like and respect each other and I expect Bernie's endorsement this time around to be a little more full throated than "not at all" like it was in 2016.

Their friendship was clear during the primary and why Sanders refused to gut Biden, fully.

If Biden really concedes to acceptable Progressive ideas, I'd be more satisfied.

However, noting that the Dems are notoriously connected to the same corporations that keep workers down, I won't hold my breathe on it. Also to note that so many of the Dem politicians hate on Sanders, I feel this is a recipe for disaster.

So, since Sanders is representative of the softer Progressive movement, let's wait and see how this turns out, but I can see an absolute split in that party if Biden loses.

Obama to endorse his brother from another mother shortly.

Good timing to show the current president how he should act.

No, I'm saying Progressives feel like they were cheated out of a fair fight by corrupt DEM leadership AND MSM, so they feel like Biden has nothing to offer them.

They feel the same way about #45, so it's most likely that a sum of them will not vote/ write another name or start a third party.

Although, I think some will vote Biden, regretfully.

I have seen evidence of this move already, but it is a split.
How was Bernie cheated?

The MSM were pretty fair, and I certainly don't think the Democratic Party leadership stood in his way, certainly not in the way they did in 2016.

The way I see it is that Sanders failed to gain traction with BEM voters in a number of states, and that pretty much did it for him.
