Denayer and Mangala

Mangala off to Napoli on loan, never really hit the ground running here, his debut was his best game. He could work well in a physical side, hopefully he does well at Napoli and we can fetch £20m for him next summer.

Hopefully he does well and he comes back more like the finished article. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Stones together. Shame he's going before the Derby as the Million pounds plus a month 'free transfer' would be right up Mangala's street.

I can't see it being a loan with the aim of returning next season though. Napoli don't play the same way as Pep, meaning Mangala wont learn what Pep wants his defenders to learn but he could show what he is capable of and put himself in the shop window. I think Mangala and Denayer are as good as gone now under Pep, Otamendi, Kompany, Stones, Kolarov and probably even Adarabioyo are ahead of them and theres a chance we'll buy another centre back again next year, maybe test the waters for Laporte again.

Napoli play fast, possession based football and the Centrebacks have to be good with their feet. I don't think Manga is coming back, but it would be a good loan for him if we wanted him to.

Tottenham are considering a move for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala (25) before Wednesday's transfer deadline. [ESPN][/QUOT

No doubt Daniel Levy will expect us to pay them to take him - cheapskate fucker !
