Current CB's = Otamendi (injured?), Kompany (injured), Stones (just joined).
Surely we need to keep one (Denayer) as we've already seen Pep use 3 at the back in pre-season, having 3 CB's one who's extremely injury prone is leaving it pretty thin. Yes we have Tosin but he's not ready yet.
Starting to think Kolarov will genuinely be one of our CB's next season.
I've just been thinking this and then thought are we going to go with Tosin as the 4th with others who can step in if need be.
Not convinced he's ready for that yet. You'd think Denayer would be much closer to being ready given his experience at Celtic & Gala but maybe Pep just doesn't rate him, shame as I think people had high hopes for him breaking into the team this season.I've just been thinking this and then thought are we going to go with Tosin as the 4th with others who can step in if need be.

Think he was named in the CL squad for the knockout round, so would read too much into it, just yet!

Pat Roberts, Bony, Mangala & Nasri are all listed, but Denayer, who is listed in the Champs Lg squad today, isn't.
I don't think we can learn much from that.

We don't need to trim Denayer, as he has only just turned 21 & is a home produced player, so qualifies for every eventuality, for years to come. He might want to leave though.
This is the strange part. It makes no sense to send him on his way. He is literally a free player when we are desperate to sell players. Why him?

Would assume it's more Denayer's wishes for more playing time. He's got plenty of years left on his deal so I would assume the club will only sell him knowing that Pep doesn't rate him + JD wanting to play more elsewhere.
