17yr old England midfielder we secured when Arsenal 'released' him.

Scored twice for the u18's today.

According to match reports he impressed on occasion last season, however,it seems his game may now be gaining some consistency,i've not personally seen him live but it appears this lad has a very bright future.

Probably posted when he signed up but this is the reason he left Arsenal :-

Midfielder Denzeil Boadu, who has been capped by England at youth level, was let go by Arsenal amidst some confusion at the turn of the year, and this week sealed a scholarship deal with Premier League rivals Manchester City, before taking to Twitter to reveal his reasons for departing North London.
Boadu was offered a scholarship by Arsenal in October, but the club also wanted him to leave school at that point to continue his development at London Colney, which the player refused before eventually pulling out of negotiations over a new deal last month.

A quick bump for Denzeil......it seems he had a great game tonight and the bright future that was predicted may not be too far away!

He really, really reminded me of Barkley. Size definitely won't be a problem for him.

Well,we're crying out for such,so fingers crossed youre right!

I just hope he gets the opportunity here to prove his worth, likewise his peers.......The uncertainty surrounding the managerial situation will not help.

We have some wonderful talent,we need to be very careful we don't lose them to opportunity elsewhere as,right now, youth isn't getting a look in.

I can see the Barkley comparison and the way Barkley is playing at the moment I would stick with Boadu. Very talented lad with a lovely touch and great quick feet. A few times tonight he received the ball and just burst through their midfield. The one where he did it and fed a great surprise pass for Celina was pure class.

I am not 100% sure about his temperament. I hope his feet are firmly on the ground in which case he could go a long way.

Couple of highlights of other games in which he starred in.

You'll see what i mean about Barkley. He was at it tonight too - properly powerful driving runs from deep. Big lad with pace and great technique.

Thought he was very good indeed last night but does need to calm down a bit. Could of got himself sent off.

I don't think he could have been sent off. He barely did anything wrong. Crewe were being right mardardses at times when challenged & one squared up to him & pushed him in the back for what was nothing more than a routine, slight foul. He had a word back but it was only handbags stuff.

Great game tonight. Highly skilled player, clever & excellent workrate. Scores a few goals. Don't know what else we can ask for really, apart from that he keeps it up & hopefully translates it to the next level.
