Given the frequency of over-reactions on Bluemoon I'd imagine over the next week we'll see a fair few posts about United's luck having finally run out, how they'll now be vulnerable and how we'll show them what an average team they really are.

Well they're not, like it or not they're a very good team. It could be argued that individually they don't look as strong as the other four teams in the top 5 but the work Ferguson has done over the years means that as a team they are still very good. They know how to play together and they have a system which all their players understand.

They may have suffered their first defeat yesterday but if anything that could make them more determined to beat us. I'm not saying we can't win and I'm not saying we won't win but it most certainly won't be easy.

p.s. They've only dropped 2 points at home all season.

Agree, but they are more than beatable this season, they have been playing shite, most rags will agree with that, but there has never been a better time to play them, apart from them losing last night of course.....it aint so often they lose 2 on the trot....but theres always a first....fancy a 2-1 win to us personally

I'm glad to see this thread.

Too many knee-jerk reactions lately because United lost one game. They're a great side whether you want to admit it or not and it's gonna' be an incredibly difficult game, who knows though, maybe we can do it!

If wolves can beat em,we can beat em..they were going for a record last night so they didnt hold back thinknig about us next week..

We have to play the game of our lives next week AND get a little rub of the green for once. The type we didn´t get last season. We just can´t afford to switch off for a millisecond - simple as. If we concentrate from first whistle to last we have a hell of a chance

I'm not really sure they will be more determined, but I dont think that their morale is all that bad after one defeat. I doubt it that they will be too affected by the loss against Wolves. They only lost by one goal, it's not like that they got beaten with a 5 goal margin.

It's definetely going to be tough against them. We just have to wait and see how Mancini sets up the game, and if he goes for the draw or win.

I never said we couldn't.
But too many people think they're a bag of shit cus' they've scraped a lot of results. If they think they're shit they're in for a shock next week cus' it will be a tough game.

When ever they loose they usually go on a huge winning streak they always bounce back. We will have to work very very hard next week.

Fundamentally disagrre with those that say United are a good/great side.

THEY ARE NOT

They are distinctively average.

The reason they are where they are is simple.

1. Teams offer them far too much respect and fear them for no good reason

2. They still have massive influence over refereeing decisions,,, the examples are numerous.

3. Opposing managers have a competition to see who can crawl furthest up Feriescums ares and cow tail.

I know there will be a view that says they are good, but lease believe me they are not that good. I really really hope we go out with absolutely no respect for them whatsoever and if Mancini sends an attack minded strong team out we will whip them,

My father said to me one day "is it red or blue for you?"
and if it's red you're out the door and I won't see you no more
and then one Saturday afternoon he took me to Moss Side
He said "my son your time has come and this is a lesson in pride"
You see the scum you never run
You stand and fight your ground
and when you've won on derby day
You're sure to hear this sound
Hark now hear
The City sing
United ran away
And we will fight for ever more
Because of Derby day

That is all you need to know and sing.
