Devon and Cornwall

My favourite UK holiday destination. Love the place. From the tourist centres of St Ives, Tintagel, Mevagissey and St Michael's Mount to loads of unspoilt places. Have a mate who lives in Portmellon and have used that as a base loads of times.

Places like Lostwithiel and Chysauster are brilliant as well.

Carbis Bay and St Ives are just a wonderful part of the world when the weather is good. One of my sisters lived their and the other still does. I went down with a mate a few years back (when SWP was leaving for Chelsea) and had a wonderful time. Lands End is a bit of a let down but just a beautiful, beautiful part of the country.

we stayed here last year, stunning and right on the beach

Love Devon & Cornwall. I lived down that way for about 20 years. this is where I used to live in Cornwall -St Mawes on the south coast. lovely place.

the odd shaped creamed coloured house in the centre of pic is where i used to live

truro is a decent place to visit, & the north coast is good if like the beach.surfing etc. south coast quieter but still lovely.

If you stay near Helston or Portleven you can easily get to Flambards, Helford, Kynance cove (a must a low tide). This is a great site I have used before.

Have a look at Blackpool and it's lovely clean sand and blue sea. Blackpool in Devon that is. Little more there than a sandy cove and a cafe, but it's what the sea should look like, unlike the polluted shitty sea of Blackpool Lancs.

I think that's where my younger mates went clubbing once.

Paradise Park in Hayle is really good too.
