BBC just announced the 51 year old died yesterday after a short illness.

Sad news, always seemed bubbly whenever she was on the TV/radio.

No age. She was one of the better presenters and we were lucky in the NW to get to see her regularly.

    RIP

    Wow awful news!

Remember her early days when she was Simon Mayo's sidekick in the early 80''s on Radio 1. Literally a couple of years later I'm chatting with her in the schoolyard at Woodheys in Sale while picking our respective kids up. That's about as rock'n roll as it got for me....

    A very nice person.

    Only 51 as well.

    RIP Dianne

    Genuinely gutted.
Always enjoyed Dianne's style of broadcasting, laid back and didn't take herself too seriously

I still remember winning a few prizes on her lunchtime show's quizes, circa 2003, and I saw her on an old video of mine, a few years ago, when she was a reporter on a programme called No Limits, when he introduced a piece on Peter Gabriel.

    Sad day.
