At the New Moston Club last night.

Brilliant night…good comedian, pie & peas, raffle, auction, few beers.
What more could you want!

Was anybody else there?

They couldn’t thank us enough and are still overwhelmed by the supporters & attendances 23yrs on….

Best question of the night was, “at this moment in time - who do you dislike the most, United or Liverpool?”
Weaver - Liverpool
Goater - Liverpool
Dickov - Both of them

You’ve got to love Dickov!

Bet that was an enjoyable and entertaining listening to those 3.
Obviously they are not in the same (extremely high)bracket quality wise as those 3 fantastic players who have statues, but every bit as important to the history and culture of our club. They certainly did 'drag me out of the mire' (a line from The Amazons brilliant 'Doubt it' song).
I Consider myself fortunate to have been able to witness live ( at least some of) the wonderful football City have played over the last decade. However I consider myself just as fortunate to have been at Wembley in 99 and Blackburn a year later.

Cant stand Dickov for reasons many have debated on here before , other 2 I have a lot of time for. The evening sound like it was a good one.View attachment 61285
Remember that game, awful performance, absolutely pissed it down and we lost 3:0. Personally, I do like Dickov and enjoy hearing him talk about City these days. That celebration after scoring a penalty did really irritate me though, as it did seem very OTT.
Anyway, Leicester got relegated that season didn't they and I seem to remember he missed a penalty in the match at their gaff?
(So that served him right I guess!)

I know what u mean, but hes a pro doing a job. Hate it when players dont celebrate against old teams, think thats actually disrespectful to his new/club fans.

So yeah maybe dickovs celebration was OTT but theres surely no doubting hes a blue through n through

Being a 'blue' is his job now, like Goater.

Can't stand Dickov?
Wow.

What, because he scored against us?

Have a word with yourself.
Mate like I said it's been debated to death before, but going down would have been catastrophic for the club that season and it was a very real possibility at one stage , , no true blue would ever revel in contributing to that. Suits him to the ground to play the game name though.

Bit harsh, if you don’t like him for celebrating a goal. That refusing to celebrate a goal against your old club is hollow as fuck… Wasn’t a fan of his when he played for us but that that was only because he was crap and loved by most for running about a lot.
