Dickov V Rosler next Saturday (12th)

Is anyone going the game ? only a mate of mine is an Oldham fan and normally goes with his son but on Saturday v Brentford he is away on holiday - and they are giving out vouchers to enable fans to buy tickets for the forthcoming FA cup game against Liverpool - Its a good idea by Oldham and should put a few more numbers on the gate.

so if anyone is going to see Dicky v Rosler and not interested in the FA cup game, any chance of my mate using your voucher ?

Its a shame to see Dicky struggling, but I'm chuffed that Uwe's doing so well. Should be a good game.

I'm fairly certain Brentford will turn us over. Our only hope is that they might have the replay with Southend in mind on Tuesday as a 4th round match against Chelsea is on offer.

They've only lost two away games this season whereas we have only won 3 at home.

To be blunt, they're a lot better than us and I quite fancy them to win the playoffs.

I'm in the Exec box for this one (more like a portacabin tbh).

sjk - what do you make of the sweeping changes the other week to Dickov's back room team? What's the background to all that; is it just results or summat deeper? Has it been change for the better?

Was shocked they all got cleared out but Dickov remained (not advocating him getting sacked btw, just surprised he didn't go as well as is normally the case).

Brentford should win that one, doing really well at the moment, I think Uwe is up for Manager of the month for December as well.

Both got really tasty FA Cup 4th round ties to look forward to as well (Brentfords replay permitting).

Baffling, tbh.

I thought that our CE got rid of them all in the hope Dickov would resign shortly afterwards but, as time has passed, I no longer see that as the reason.

I think he's got the CE's confidence tbh and although I've wanted Dickov out for a while now, I'm at least happy that there's been some changes. If we can get someone who's got tactical nous and isn't just another passionate, "give me 100% on the pitch and that's all I can ask of you" kinda guy then I'll be happy til the end of the season.

I feel for Duxbury (Reserve Team Coach) as he's a proper Oldham favourite but I couldn't give a fuck about Gerry "I'm a hard ****, but more of a ****" Taggart & the Fitness Coach (who's only job it seemed was to wander across the touchline with a fucking clipboard in his han), going. To me, they offered fuck all.

In an ideal world, the CE would have got rid of the lot and brought in Sean O'Driscoll and his staff, however, finances do not permit such a big change. So, I'd take someone like Frank Bunn, Steve Eyre or Brian Horton - people who seem more suited to the #2 role.

As for the question on whether it's been for the better. Well, we've only played 3 games since. Drew at Scunthorpe, lost at home to Crewe and then, of course, the win at Forest. I'll probably be able to give you a better answer in a month or two!

I'm just pleased we're already in the hat for the FA Cup 5th round, as we don't play Liverpool til the Sunday evening.
