In todays mirror Olliver Holt says that Bellemy paid for a soccer school to be built in Newtown,Sierra Leone at a cost of £450000, maybe he isnt that bad after all.

His mother says he's just misunderstood!

Fair play to him.

Maybe he'll fit in quite well at City then - hear me out!

My dad worked over in Sierra Leone for a few years after the war over there & his mate is a big city fan (my dads a red, but never manager to pursuade me to join the dark side).

Anyway, my dads mate helped set up the Sierra Leone branch of the supporters club & even re-mortgaged his house to bring one of the lads from there over to see a few games this time last year. The club were great, donating loads of kit & what have you & they've got their own academy set up over there.

And people say we're destroying football - nonsense, we're the best fans in the land & all the world!

Not a fan of Bellamy, but if this is true, then fair play to the lad, he's gone up a notch in my estimations.

Is he training them to take a corner with a putter?

Seirra Leone officials misunderstood his proposals and were awaiting a sandwiche chip shop...D'oh Sand wedge chip shot!!

Easy to slag people off if we don't know the whole story it would seem.

As Wilde said: 'The truth is seldom pure and never simple'.

Is your dad's mate called Tony? He helped Armani set up the Sierra Leone branch. A good bloke who I know through the MCFC CSA

The very same! Great bloke, heart of gold.

Although at the time, I remember bein pissed off with the miserable fuckers at that ski slope thing by the trafford centre. Armani had never seen snow, so they took him there to get to touch it for himself. The miserable bastards told them they would have to pay full admission just to go & touch the stuff & even though Tony explained that they didn't wanna ski, just give the lad the opportunity to feel the snow in his hand, they wouldn't budge & they had to leave disappointed.

Why do I have a hunch they were rags?

I forgot about this but I saw something about this before. I think it was in one of those "World Football" shows that do be taking up air time on SS1.

Personally I've never had an issue with Bellamy. In fact of always thought of him as one of the more down to earth players.

(SWP is heavily involved too in charity work. It's nice to see. I'm ot sure I could be if I was in their place so fair dues.)

I heard that story on the radio last year, a lad from SL came over to watch city and was talking about supporters clubs in his country.
i am sure he said he was staying in Reddish while he was in this country.
