Diego Godin

He dives in a bit - a trait which cost Atleti a CL place. Started off shakily at the rojiblancos but struck up a decent partnership with Dominguez who I think would be a better bet and is younger.
Depends how much

Don't know much about him but 50 caps for Uruguay suggests he isn't bad. And at £8m he would cost a third of what Liverpool want for Agger. Whether he is better suited to Spain rather than England is the question

found this link for him don`t know how valid

Wasn't he supposed to be liverpool's replacement for agger? Trying to get liverpool to lower agger's price somehow? Don't really know much about him but the guy always looks so skinny, would be worried about his strength in the prem

In the last two weeks of market, Manchester City hasten several trades. According to Marca, the "Citizens" have made a proposal to Atletico for the pass from Diego Godin (26). The City would have opted for this solution to the difficulties to realize the arrival of Daniel Agger, the first goal. Godin's pass is valued at about 10 million euros.

Good solid defender. Not sure how technically able he is but would be a great backup to Komps and Lescott or even part of a proper 352.

£6m sounds like a great price.

agree with this and if the quote is correct he will only consider us then better to have someone who wants to come here than one who doesn`t

Looks pretty confident on the ball, but as has been said could probably do with strengthening up a bit for the Prem.

Getting Vertonghen could have easily cleared up all this reaching. What a shame.+

I agree but no one knows what Spurs offered compared to us, if he doesn't like Mancini or some of the players etc.

If they have to pay 12.6mil every year, why not offer to pay their taxes for the next 3 years and get Falcao in return? ;)

Vertonghen was easily available to any top six club in England. Our management team clearly decided him he was not good enough. I'll support their judgement.

Not just that, he refused to move to any club other than Spurs, something about them being his boyhood club and whatnot..

I have a sneaky feeling that 120k a week would have tested his loyalty

Don´t know why! ;)

Yup! Falcao would be a great back up defender .

I like the idea of Godin. 50 caps for Uruguay and at a third of the price of injury prone Agger. Certainly goes in the pecking order at three behind Lescott and VK and above Kolo Toure.
