Having seen your post I just phoned up and the lady I spoke to said you can request one (I did) but it will be reviewed on a case by case basis! I asked her how that worked and based on what criteria but she didn’t know the answer to that.They will send out a card if you ring up and ask, as I did this morning.
I find this really strange as if there is a card option then it should just be a case of requesting one.

10k was the supposed attendance, that was a joke as wellI turned up an hour before the game as was asked. My ticket was sent to my Google pay wallet. It seemed pretty fool proof at first till i tried scanning the ticket and It wouldn't let me in. A steward noticed this and I was told to try again, so i did. Then i must have tried it 6 or 7 times on various turnstiles, still wouldn't let me in. Over 10 minutes later the head steward gave up and let me in using his swipe card.
This was for a game of only 20000. Imagine the chaos when there's a full stadium, no don't, sort it out City, not good!
Families getting tickets, if the parent got selected they could drag kids in with them who had perhaps only cityzens cards.
I know this happened but maybe they are the target audience, the future and they will use etickets

Virtually everything in your pockets can be used as a weapon -And get it taken off you as a potential weapon.
Keys (I used my keys between my fingers as a makeshift weapon a couple of times back in the 70s).
Metal pen used as a fist load.
Bottle openers etc.
So I would be very surprised if a medium sized battery was confiscated as a weapon.
I think if you request a card they will put you on the alternative list for whatever the alternative is which may not be a card.The thought of ringing is nightmare - can we request a card anywhere else?i
Hopefully City will do on online form for this rather than default to a terrible phone system that isn't fit for purpose, I know it is unlikley though.
