Pep needs to pipe down a bit. After that team he put out at Spurs away last year and the team he put out at Anfield away the year before, the fans have every right to question whether it's him who wants the Champions League. As it happens, the atmospheres in the home legs of those ties were some of the best we've had at the stadium.

I think he might have a point but his command of English can make him come across the wrong way. Maybe he means our hardcore support don't value the CL the same way Liverpool and United fans do and perhaps it will require "seducing" a different type of fan to pick up the slack in games like this. Newer fans or plastics as Liverpool fans call them, even though people fly in for a lot of their CL games.

Also I watched the conference, the press ask him about it all the time, he seems a bit fed up of them asking about it. We know we have no problem selling out in the big CL games, I suppose Pep can't really say that without disrespecting Zagreb.

Errrrr 1 of the greatest players ever to grace the PL, and Gundog who seems to be still ‘getting up to speed’. Yes he had a horrendous injury, but surely Foden should be running out to start today.

Spot on, I love the bloke but he has it totally wrong on this one. Our crowds are pretty good considering we are not a rich fan base. Get to the knockouts and we get right behind the team, even though if we ever get to the final very few of us will get a ticket.

And that’s the irony, they are practically begging fans to go the round robin games (I think I paid 20 quid for tonight), but when it gets to the late knockout stages they will price the ordinary fan out of buying tickets and if we get to the final hardly anyone will get a ticket because UEFA cronies will snag them all. So the message appears to be, come to games that mean little but you can’t come to the games that matter.
