Diogo Jota & his brother Andre have died in a car crash

Police are saying:
“Everything is also pointing to a possible high excess of speed over the permitted speed on that stretch of the motorway."

So sounds like he was significantly over the speed limit.
A real kick in the teeth for his wife, to know she’s now a widow and her three kids will never see their dad again because of his stupidity.

I thought reports were saying that it was a Huracan they were travelling in? Anyway, semantics aside (you've seen one Lamborghini, you've seen them all!), I would guess that the Audi would be a significantly stronger car. But I guess, without NCAP ratings it's impossible to have a definitive answer as to which one is safer. Just an instinct I have.
Urus is an SUV Huracan a 2 seater sports car, totally different The equivalent Audi is the R8 wont be any “stronger" than the Urus as they share the same platform and safety measures Both are relatively old models the R8 is now out of production

As I said in the last sentence, it's an instinct I have. Nothing more. I never claimed it as fact ("I guess"). No mechanical or scientific data to prove/disprove it.

I work in the industry would always have the latest and greatest wherever possible, the Huracan is 10 years old but regardless if he was in excess of 70mph and a tyre blew then unless he had amazing reactions and driver skill he was on a looser apparently it set fire as well

Not shocked to see reports that there was excess speed involved, seeing the car become a fireball like that, it was easy enough to put 2+2 together.

Its the wife, kids and families that really suffer here because of the male desire to act the twat. A crying shame.

They're probably going to retire the number 168 too in honour of the speed he was driving
We’ve all done over the speed limit once or twice, regardless of speed and who was driving there is no need for this comment, I don’t like Liverpool just as much as any city fan but I have respect for what they have done

My problem is not what they have done, it is the sanctimonious way everybody refuses to point out that if he was driving too fast then he brought it on himself. Yes it is a shame that a very good footballer died but, unfortunately thousands of people die on our roads every year. Often they are the totally innocent victims yet we hear nothing of them. Here we have two young men who, if police reports are to be believed, were traveling at a speed completely inappropriate for public roads.
How many times has someone overtaken you recklessly in a flash car, and you've called them a fookin idiot who will kill someone? Either themselves or someone else. It seems that happened here and at least it was nobody else as it could have been so much worse.
Does he deserve to be made a martyr? I'm afraid not in my book

I will say theres not been anything official yet so we should probably refrain from comment until there's confirmation there was excessive speed involved. but on the basis of that being true, I'd agree with you. Speaking in general, I have no sympathy whatsoever for anybody injured or killed when they've died due to them breaking the law.

It's awful for the family, truly sad but my biggest take on it all is thank fuck the driver didn't kill any innocent people in other cars, IF he was speeding that is
