In a way, I hope he stays at Liverpool and does so because he has strong feelings for the club.

As a kid, I presumed all City players wanted to be at the club for all the right reasons and would play for free if they had to. I'm now at a point where I presume all professional footballers are greedy, money obsessed, materialistic, feckless, brain-dead morons unless they prove me otherwise.

It would be nice to know that there are some players still out there that won't chase the big bucks and actually have consideration for the fans that help pay their wages.
