Best known for making "Boyz N the Hood" and the series "Snowfall".

So young to leave this earth.

He was a graduate of USC's prestigious Film School and a huge Trojan football backer. Other alumni include Geotge Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Bob Gale, John Carpenter and John Milius. And he was making Academy Award nominated films while still in his twenties. Really an amazing talent that was dimmed to early.
