"Disappointing" attendances

I expect we're going to get a few cheeky chants from away fans from now.

We won't get that many. As despite what the media reports, it's pretty much full the majority of games. You can't really be in the away end at the Etihad surrounded by 50k + City fans and sing "You're ground's too big for you". Fulham have done it this season, but other than that I can't remember any other fans singing about it in the ground. A few sing it on the way to the game, but not in the ground itself as it's not far off capacity.

Any mention of why the Villa game wasn't sold out last night?
Only by 1500 though.
Actually less than that according to my son in law who has been a ST for donkeys. The Leicester fans were congregated behind the goal and there were segregational seats obviously unused.
However the stadium holds 42,785 and their largest home attendance this season has been 42,010 v WHU.

No ! I said that they did NOT sell out by less than 1500.As a ratio it was a very good attendance.
I wouldn't disagree on that point, but why are we the only club who get criticised for empty seats when most clubs would get nowhere near 39,000 against Fulham in a fourth round tie?

Look no further than swamp HQ, that's where the media attack is being directed from.

Talksport shows just now how these comments have affected the general football base. Alan Brazil sports breakfast, dumb co-presenter, if they can't sell out for the derby what can they sell out for? Dumb ex-football "Jamie" - "nothing! They might have a billionaire owner but they haven't got the fan base of United or Liverpool.". No mention of Old Trafford not selling out for the derby of course .
When was the last time that bloated pig paid for admssion for a football match yet he thinks it's ok to sneer at working-class matchgoing fans who are the lifeblood of the game. This is one reason why sports media is struggling financially. So many of these organisations from tabloid radio stations to broadsheet newspapers seem to think it's fine to just mock their paying customers. That's one way to kill your business. Few football fans buy papers like the Sun these days (not just in Merseyside) because they have lost touch with their audience.
