He's an excellent manager. The way he has unified the squad, and got the best out of players who had previously under performed, is admirable. Seems to have real authority and dignity, and has got us playing the best football I have ever seen at City. An inspired appointment by Begiristain and Soriano. Just needs to convert it into trophies now.

I've said before he's a clever man. Our players, as with most, are mard arses.Mancini didn't like that in them hence the power struggle behind the scenes. Pelli dosen't give them anything to be upset about, no wall, no double training and no favouritism to a long lost son. Nothing for the team not to remain a team.

One rules with iron fist and was successful, the other will be but with a softly softly approach. The latter rewarding us with much better football to watch.

He comes across as a real gentleman too. I can't believe that he has not had trophy success with another team but I hope he gets a shed load here.

He will. The players are simply too good not to. It helps they appear happy.

Lol, I'll never get carried away, I'm a city fan.

he clearly wont get involve with the so called mind games, when he was asked about the slimy ones comments that city should win the league,he wasn't having any of it.i don't speak about maureens comments. end of.

"There"s only one Pelegrini,
Only one Pelegrini,
Walkin along,
Singin a song,
Walk in Pelegrini wonderland".....

Real deal, end of

he has what many in the passed lack, man management.
gent and an engineer, wouldnt swap him for anybody

Just watched the game again - our pressing tonight was superb.
One of my main issues earlier in the season. We weren't doing it at all well then - we are now (and how)

Bomber Harris (Pellers) is clearly doing a great job blitzing the opposition.
Man-well, Man-well Pell-e-grin-i,
Man-well, Man-well Pell-e-grin-i,
Man-uel. Man-well, Man-well, Man-an-an-an-an-well. etc

I don't think he gets enough credit for what he has crafted, the best football I have seen us play
Fully agree mate.

Funny how things change.. The day he came i said he was going to be top class. after the first 5-6 games people where on his back. Have faith and it will come through like dzeko.

Pellegrini certainly deserves the recognition he is getting and more. He is an elite coach and apart from a simple mistake against Bayern earlier this season, he has brought Manchester City to a new level.

Edit: Finally my posts don't need to be approved by someone!

Sir Baconface approves of this one.

I think that is fair comment.

He is rapidly moulding this team into a ruthless machine. The improvement since the start of the season has been startling. When I think back to the team that lost those 3 away games early on, it's hard to fathom that this is the same team. Even when we have key players out, others seem to rise to the occasion.

All credit to the quiet, unassuming gentleman sitting on the half way line (and of course Ruben as well!).

He is clearly an inspirational leader.

Fully agree with both. It's criminal how under appreciated he is. I expect it to change after last night though, this is majestic stuff. I think European football could be in for a huge shock, we are the real deal.

I just don't have any words left that can describe what is developing before my eyes watching City with MP in charge. Making a 41 year very happy and even better seeing my 5 year old lad absolutely buzzing and all he can think and talk about is how City are playing.

Cheers Mr. Sheikh and all execs and a massive Thank you to Manuel Pelligrini and his staff

It's all about holistic. I so hope he is rewarded with trophies.

Think we're all feeling a bit emotional this morning. As I said last night. We have the best manager in the league. Both as a manager and as a figurehead and public face of our club.

That's how I feel, cm. it's like every week we go up another little notch-in every way. Togetherness, passing, finishing, ruthlessness, stamina, aggression, pressing,defending...they've progressed at different paces as the seasons gone on but they are all coming together now to make a 'whole' which is breathtaking. And we can get better.

I'm going to say it for about the thirtieth time in three years. A great manager makes his team greater than the sum of its parts. To see that before your very eyes, and with the quality of our parts, is just incredible.

The best move that Adug ever made was the appointment of soriano and txiki. They are at the heart of this. The leap in class from Cook and co is a canyon.

It's glorious isn't it. I feel so pumped up about what we've done these past three months that I'm getting emotional about it. 33 fucking goals....in January!!!
