Regardless of how much we've spent I never thought I'd put together a run of form like we have done over the last 3/4 months. It's now not a disaster if we draw with Chelsea on Monday, but lets smash them and put them 6 point behind with an inferior goal difference.

How many people were crying out for a 5 man midfield away from home early in the season? And how many are saying it now? He had his beliefs, stuck to them through the wobble because he believed in them and has been proved resoundingly, crushingly fucking right.

A brilliant manager. I trust him 100%. Glory time is around the corner. We are lighting up the football world- and we are still under the radar a bit.

We haven't even put our best eleven out once this season. Think about that...

What would you consider our best 11 DD?

JH,PZ,GC,MN,VK,SN,DS,YT,F,AN,SA?

Yeah, I think I do, mate, though I think there are games when tactically other players like kolorov, navas and de Michelis offer a better option.

I just hope he sends Mourinho home next Monday with his head up his arse, he owes him, big time.

Defo. He's lucky Kun's out. I still fancy us to beat them by more than a goal.

I'll raise my hand and say I wanted the option to play a 3 man midfield. But man, Pellegrini just knows everything. How often do you see a team go into a tough away ground and just smash an opposing midfield while greatly outnumbered?

He just passed around them. They could have put 10 men in their midfield, we just kept getting wider and overloading until they couldn't keep up. Our tactics were light years beyond anything I could have imagined.

Manny is doing the business. This City team is a thing of beauty and a joy to watch.
I had to LOL when the comment on BT tonight was: City are the best team in Europe........except for Munich.........and Barcelona! Yes it is almost a Coleman ball but is still a backhanded compliment.

He is a superb manager, very likeable too.

Any tactical substitution he makes I seem to agree with.

Love the togetherness we seem to save this season, once you have that the players are free to go out and enjoy their football.

It's a lesson for all to stop being so reactionary we can trust him 100%

Minor point but one that resonates with me, Manuel seems to be picking the right subs week after week at the moment - thought they were all absolutely bob on again tonight.

Oh you!

Iv'e watched City play since early 70s & I have never witnessed the quality of football that I'm seeing this season. Just when you think it can't get much better it does. The passing, close control & awareness of other players is fantastic.
Big game for us on Monday, but if we win against Chelsea which I'm sure we will then I can only see us pushing on to the title.
Manuel Pellegrini Thank you

Agree, his subs in the Watford game were brilliant.

Tonight it was obvious Toure needed taking off, which he did and Silva had taken a few kicks and worked his arse off

What I like about him is that so far he's conducted himself with class, with none of tiresome ego of Moriniho or the lack of class shown by Ferguson or the whinging of Wenger.

Wow. Don't know what else to say.

Easily the best team in our history I hope the trophies follow.

This is beyond mad.

Very much so. A real strength of his it seems.

Definitely the right call to take Toure off; an injury or second yellow would've been catastrophic with Chelsea up next.

There will still be games I will want one up front. Today was one, and it worked very well with two. Monday night will be another, and hopefully whether it's one or two it will work out just as well.

But I don't see what the problem with having a different opinion on our tactics is. It's not reactionary, it's just a different opinion.

He's an excellent manager. The way he has unified the squad, and got the best out of players who had previously under performed, is admirable. Seems to have real authority and dignity, and has got us playing the best football I have ever seen at City. An inspired appointment by Begiristain and Soriano. Just needs to convert it into trophies now.

I've said before he's a clever man. Our players, as with most, are mard arses.Mancini didn't like that in them hence the power struggle behind the scenes. Pelli dosen't give them anything to be upset about, no wall, no double training and no favouritism to a long lost son. Nothing for the team not to remain a team.

One rules with iron fist and was successful, the other will be but with a softly softly approach. The latter rewarding us with much better football to watch.

In fairness mate the whole forum is based on supposition and conjecture and it would be a pretty dull place if we weren't blessed with some spontaneous reaction.
