Surprised no ones got the "Pellegrini only won because WBA were down to 10 men" card. When he gets it right its still wrong for some of you.

You just proved my post before you right mate. Next time a ref is sending someone off against us do tell him to not do so mate. Your "suspicion" of seeing a different game with 11 has NO basis what so ever.

I am sorry the ref ruined your day to slag Pellegrini off by sending someone off. Give it a break mate.

Because after 7 years on Bluemoon Ive come to the conclusion that most spporters haven't a clue :)

And the whole thing of football being an expert domain, which you have to have expert knowledge of to professionally manage which supporters dont possess.

But mainly the first one

How is what you posted anything to do with what you "saw from you seat"? You posted about West brom probably beating us with 11, but surely you watched the game where they got a sending off?

All that mattered today was the win .... was concerned when I saw arguably the slowest midfield in the history of the premier league but we got the win and deserved to win by a few goals more. Job done and pressure off for a couple of weeks. If I learned anything today it's that lampard has been underplayed this season.

Without wishing to drag this out, the simple fact is today's game isn't evidence of a midfield 2 of Fernando and Lampard being a success. I'm made up Fernando got a goal, Lampard could have had a hat trick and we beat a team which was tough on paper quite comfortably. I won't be rushing to point out to fans who were sceptical they were wrong to be concerned though.

You suspect that and you would inevitably be right up to a point but I doubt it would have been vastly different in that WBA were always likely to concnetrate on getting men behind that ball. Also, Lampard covered a lot of ground when he started a game in the UCL so Pellegrini porbably, and rightly, had a lot more faith in his mobility than some supporters. He also probably has more faith in Fernando than most supporters and that was well placed today: Fernando had a very good game.

There's a number of things about Pellegrini's approach and the results he has produced this season that I am not that happy about but I have no doubt that Pellegrini knows what he is trying to achieve and has good reasons for doing what he does. And whether any of us likes what he does, he is proven as a top manager and none of us that comment on here are remotely close to having that kind of ability.

Well, from what I saw from my seat our midfield were put under no pressure on or off the ball after the sending off. WBA were content to sit deep from the first minute so once down to 10 they were even deeper.
Not once did I mention us getting beat if it was 11 v 11, just that I think Lampard and Fernando would have had more to do had it stayed like that.

Give what up? You haven't a fucking clue. I'm happy with the result, I'm happy MP will have some pressure taken off him and im happy we're back to winning ways after a pretty poor couple of weeks.
I wasn't thrilled when I saw the midfield 2, I thought they would have it tough. As it happens they had a player sent off very early and the game changed from there. That's the only thing I'm discussing, nothing else about the game just my opinion on Fernando and Lampard.

Look it was a decent peformance against a 10 man team, and we of all teams should know how difficult it is to play with 10 against a superior team, having done so 3 times against Barca.

It is one game and the team and manager did what they needed to do. But we will see what they come up with at United and Spurs before rushing to acclaim Pellegrini as the new messiah.

His preferred set up seems to be 4132. The problem is the 3 Yaya, Nasri and Silva are too slow and don't work hard enough. We will continue to be exposed by good and average teams defensively unless he is more pragmatic.
