Well Pellegrini is pretty much nailed on to be here until end of the season unfortunately. Sure people will get behind the team on Sunday, but atmosphere around City at the moment wont be great, imagine if Hammers take the lead too !!

Im not worried about stories saying we aren't in for Klopp, would expect that, they aren't going to say they are in for him. I will be worried though if Pellegrini is in charge in June. if he hasn't gone by the end of May then Khaldoon needs to come in and clear the lot of them out.

If Pellegrini stays, then Khaldoun will have been part of that decision.

Have I missed something? Why are people slating city? Have they officially ruled out Klopp?

Sources: Man City aren’t looking at Jurgen Klopp to become their next manager &, at this stage, have no plans to replace Manuel Pelligrini.

I think it's just your basic brief to the media to not destabilise the team with rumours whilst we are still in a battle for 4th.

If Manuel is here next season I think a lot on here will be holding Txiki out banners next season and ticket sales will be down.

Can only hope he has the sense. I cant see anyway Pellegrini can be our manager next season. Sit tight though blues, hes going to be here until end of season.

Someone needs to burn for this

Here's a thought-what if Klopp has spoken to someone above the barca lads and they aren't in the loop?

Ha, love that idea. Txiki at least. I would be more surprised if they'd fallen out with Soriano, although there were those stories of the owner's unhappiness over us failing FFP after being told it would be fine.

Funny if Txiki's briefing we're not interested while Khaldoon is drawing up the contract.

I'm not against the barca lads like some, but this won't surprise me if it plays out like this. Pellegrini was their guy after all and they sanctioned the contracts to all last season.

There is no way pep has signed an iron clad contract promising himself to us in a year's time so basically our clubs whole strategy seems to be tread water until his contract expires. But he could renew said contract or fuck off to another club we have no guarantee at all. If our owner/board's hard on for pep costs us a great manager like klopp and leaves us up shit creek when pep turns us down its gonna get nasty.

Well thats Klopp out of a job.. No doubt txiki isnt interested... But we have no idea EXACTLY what will happen...he may want too take some time out...stay in germany etc, but i would say IF pellegrini went at the end of the season, i'd prefer him over the likes of say benitez and ancelotti

Philipp Lahm talks to Owen Hargreaves about 'incredible' Pep Guardiola and reflects on his trophy-laden Bayern Munich career

Philipp Lahm has given former Bayern Munich team-mate Owen Hargreaves an insight into the meticulous approach of manager Pep Guardiola ahead of the club's Champions League quarter-final tie against Porto.

The World Cup winner was speaking to the BT Sport pundit as part of a special documentary 'Inside Bayern Munich with Owen Hargreaves' which airs Saturday at 10pm on BT Sport 1.

'His tactical understanding is incredible,' Lahm explained. 'He always gives our team solutions to playing the opposition.

'He prepares for every opposition completely differently. How flexible our team has become, with a back 3, back 4 or back 5.'

The chances of that are even less than us not speaking to Klopp at all.

The idea that the Director in charge of the entire footballing division and the person in charge of the entire company including all divisions not "being in the loop" is an incredibly ludicrous idea.

Think we are missing a trick if we don't go for Klopp. Have admired him for a number of years now albeit I know he has had difficulties this term. I really hope we get him not a slant on MP just cannot see us progressing under him next season and I think Klopp is overwhelmingly the best option available.

MP will go and if by some chance Txiki holds firm with his appointment that was only ever going to be three years at best Pep or no Pep and I suggest no Pep not after MP contract finshed anyway Txiki will be shown the door at the end of next season at the latest.

We have to change the management lock stock and barrel and includes Kidd and refresh the side with 4-5 real quality signings in the summer and I mean real quality that will start in the first game next season and if fit start everyone,

If we don't get that then Txiki will go anyway.

His own future consists of getting the right appointment to replace MP but more importantly the right replacements for the number of players who are finished at this club and will all know who they are.

This sounds like good sense to me. It's just your basic standard denial. It also might be just a question of common courtesy, something which clearly counts in Abu Dhabi. I think we'd be nuts not to be at least sounding out Klopp. But noboby's going to make that public at this point. It would something of a promotion for him. But Pep? Why on earth would he leave Bayern?

Khaldoon doesn't work at City. He's the Chairman of the Board of Directors, as he is the Chairman of ENEC, the EAA, the Executive Council, the EGA and TwoFour54. His "day job" is to manage Mubadala if you could even call it a day job.

Manchester City is ran by Ferran Soriano.
