Can't believe anyone in their right mind would be critical of Txiki in this window.

The Sterling deal alone is an absolute masterstroke. There was zero chance of us getting Sterling a year ago. Somehow he has been moved from unsellable to sold, & it's City who've got him. Somehow we managed to be the only club involved for Delph, when pretty much everybody would have taken him at that price. No idea how he swung that. Now it looks like we've managed to get the inside track on DeBruyne, pretty much unopposed, when most clubs would love to have him.

I'm disappointed we aren't giving Denayer a chance, but again, Txiki seems to have locked down Otamendi when he would surely be an absolute priority for Utd or Chelsea if they could get a sniff of him. He also seemed to somehow get Pedro on hold until DeBruyne was looking sorted.

Pogba seems to have been fouled up by 3rd party interests but the way the other deals have gone, it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at City as well, at some point.

It's been amazing. Sterling alone would have done for me, huge influence on our capabilities, as Sunday showed.

This. 100% agree.

Totally agree. What's been a real testimony to Txiki and our management has been the way that other clubs have been effectively shut out of the process. That's how deals like Bale and Ronaldo to Madrid were done in the past and we are now the club doing it. The players we have signed/are about to sign could pretty much choose any club in England and most in Europe, yet we tapped them up, pulled down the hatches and went to do the deals with their clubs. The days of bidding wars are gone.

I think #TxikiOut it is ;)

If/when KDB and Otamendi is official then Txiki has done absolutely superb job. Best transfer window for a while. To sign players like Otamendi, KDB, Sterling is not easy because they are all quite high profile players + would walk in to all sides in England and most in Europe.

After all these signings its over to Pellegrini then. Not easy because the expectation will be title + some progress in Champions League e.g QF or else its failure I think.

Can you articulate exactly why you have a constant bef with Txiki. There's something making you repeat your message, so can you enlighten us once and for all because I'm struggling to reconcile your views

I have no beef whatsoever with him mate - by all accounts we're lucky to have him and he's doing a great job

I just don't buy into this idea that transfers are a difficult or complicated process - especially with the resources we have available

Identifying the positions in which we need to improve is not difficult either

Targeting the right players and making them fit into our team is the hard job

Hypothetically speaking if KDB falls through and by all accounts Pogba is as dead as a dodo who would have been the alternatives?

What's more how would have that helped Manuel in his prep for the season

to be conservative in our judgment of Txiki's ability this transfer window is a reasonable position - and we shouldn't judge his success until next May
