Distin to come back

We should get him back, and then instead of Dunney carrying him in every match, we can spend £50m on Terry, and let him do it.

Alternatively, we can move on to something bigger and a lot better.

im sure he left and said he wants to join a club to try and win trophies, fook him, i dont want him back, much better out there, wouldnt mind Van Buyten back though, any thoughts???

To be fair he won the FA Cup with them which is a damn site more that we have since he left.

Still dont want him back though. Van Buytem has been crap the couple of games I saw him in last season although he was great for us in a shite team

I actually think he showed great loyalty to us by seeing out his contract. I would have him back as a stop gap signing no problem. Lets all be honest we still haven't replaced him, left sided centre halves are a rarity. Thats why Lescot or someone like Lescot (ie left footed centre half) is imperative this transfer window.

Seem to recall Distin turned down a big offer from us cos 'Arry BUOTW with a £60k plus offer - @ Pompey - the twitchy one seems to have forgotten that one.

We had a poor team then, going nowhere. Distan and Dunne both kept us up single handedly one season. But time has passed, and the shoe is definitely on the other foot now, especially with regards to Pompey. But for me you have to give credit were credit's due! I liked Distan, but I think we have now moved on from him. But as a stop gap?

Don't mean to be smug but I thought i'd resurrect this thread a fortnight(yes, a fortnight) after it was posted. Just reading the MEN and smiling. You heard it hear first guys. All hail NASHARK.

I really think this would be a dreadful move.

For the fee we'd have to pay it wouldn't be a disaster.
I always am worried about the Danny Mills factor, as we are finding out with TBH there are only a limited number of clubs that will pay the kind of money he will be looking for and if like TBH we find out 2 months down the line he can no longer do the job we are paying him for we are screwed. It also makes the statement that Hughes said the club wouldn't make and that was lowering our standards to land a player.
