I do not think we should overreact to yesterday’s performance. It was not unexpected, Moyes was pumping his players with hate talk against Man City and we have an eye on the Semi Final Tuesday.

We started ok albeit slow then allowed Everton to win the midfield (Barry totally ineffective) making life hard for us and easy for Everton who packed the wings to stop the attacks before they started. Everton then got a free kick, a soft one, and DeJong steps out of the wall bizarrely (pretty basic stuff) and Everton score. Why our smallest player was at this crucial end of the wall is strange and I think that is why Pienaar struck for the corner, as he reckoned he could lift ball over DeJong and get it down in time. As it turned out it would have hit DeJong if he had just stood his ground. I trust this will never happen again, the wall will be set up properly and will stay in place.

The second was a penalty, but shirt pulling in the penalty area occurs in every game without a penalty being given; Saha did not even know why the whistle was blown, he did not even think twice about the shirt pull as it did not affect his play.

After that we tried too hard to get back into the game and Everton done a great job of breaking up our play, little fouls and crowding out attacks. We just failed to get into a rhythm, just like at Spurs, this is down to a lack of leadership and real bite in midfield hardly a surprise.

Yes we were pretty shit on the day but it is 4 wins out of 5 under Mancini and that is pretty decent. The players will be up for Tuesday, let’s get behind the team and let the Manager kick their ass.

There were many days over the last 30+years I could only dream of 4 consecutive wins and a Semi-Final place. Keep the faith, do not be blue, be a true BLUE.

I agree with the sentiment but not all of the content.

To me they looked like a team with both eyes on the semi (if it was me I would have been playing my ass off to make sure I got picked)

It was however never a penatly, initial contact was outside the box it was a free kick that's all.

pienaar would of scored the free-kick anyway, and it was just stupidity from Richards, WHY rip his shirt off near the box? But i agree with the OP, we got ripped apart by the brilliant Fellaini.

I agree both eyes firmly set on semi, knowing its our biggest game for donkeys they want to be a part of it, as you said you would of ran your socks off to ensure selection - who in the team wouldnt be guarenteed place regardless of there place yesterday. I can only think of Robinho, Garrido & Petrov.

Robinho not interested, but Garrido tried his best.

All will be good on Tuesday I am sure, just lulled Baconface into thinking he can play with his team a little, then when we turn up and frighten the shite out of them when they walk on the pitch just like Hamburg & Chelsea we will be the team playing with a twelfth man.
