This will be a lonely thread, but watching some NBA and the movement and principles and style of man management are pretty strikingly similar. I think they’d get on.

After watching the Blazers for just a few minutes against that flow offense, just a reminder of why they are a dynasty. Of course, when you have three or four potential HOFers on the team and your bench could probably start for most games... it kind of helps. If you wanna trap them you have to play big athletic wings who can play pressure D or just sag back on the chances they occasionally go cold... which of course they seldom do. They are like City in that they will find a way to beat you just give them enough time. The talent level is just too great.

Kerr's an interesting story. His grandfather was a doctor who saved Armenian children orphaned during the genocide. His father was an academic serving in Beirut who was murdered by Lebanese militiaman. When fans at an opposing university he was playing against found out, they started chanting "PLO" and "your father's history." Kerr torched them for 20 points in the first half. He overcame a slight frame, a terrible back problem and a low draft status to become one of the best shooting backup PG's in the NBA. One of those guys like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Jerry West who are respected as much off the court as on it.

Nonsense comparison tbf. Kerr is an intelligent and affable chap but no idea how you can compare basketball coaching to what goes on in football. Tactically, it's night & day. Managing a squad of no more than 15 players, of which only 5 are ever playing at one time is incomparable to a football squad of twice that size

Do you speak this way to people you meet in real life?

Dont laugh. Netball has lessons for football. Players interchanging positions, fast transitions, pass, pass, pass. Stand still when you are in space etc etc etc. Have a look at England on utube.

Indeed.

Proven by the successful women's teams run by Mr and Mars Neville...
