Do you agree with Capello? (Regarding Pep)

Capello recognised as one of the most arrogant men in football the England palyers who he rarely spoke to disliked him due mainly his arrogance so this is utterly ironic

I challenge any city fan to say that Pep hasn't lost big games by trying to be too clever tactically, or that there are many games where the team has endless possession,.side to side passes, but no end product.

There hasn't been a season he's had with City where we haven't routinely been in the top five scoring teams in the whole of Europe, and in several of those seasons he's been the top. One of his teams is the current all time Premier League top scoring teams. So I suppose the question is "no end product" compared to what, when and who? Basketball, maybe. Football played in any other ground in any other point in history? Absolutely fucking not.

I'm sad to say, I do agree on some parts

Not sure about the 'damaging' football bit or arrogance though.

But certainly this bit

"Why are you going to watch 90 minutes of passes and horizontal passes without fighting, without running." - This pretty much sums up yesterday's game

What Capello fails to see here is that Pep did try something different in the season we won the treble. He played four centre backs, one of which played in midfield and got MOTM in the CL final. Has any coach anywhere done something like that before?

It’s the equivalent of Klopp playing van Dijk in midfield when going for the title and CL. He’d never have done that, yet Pep did and it paid off so it seems normal.

Pep does mad shit every game. When we win, nobody really pays any attention to it. When we lose, everyone blames Pep for having ‘one of his moments of madness’, when he has those every week.

And unlike Capello accuses, Pep always says it’s not him it’s the players who win the games and the trophies.

Am I not entitled to change my wording in a post? (and by the way, I didn't say I agreed with every point). You have to choose your words very carefully on this forum, otherwise you're at risk of being labelled a rag or the enemy.

The idea of debate is that you can either agree or disagree with parts of what someone says without agreeing or disagreeing on everything someone says, it doesn't have to be a case of you're either with us or against us.

The thing I find annoying is your lack of balance. Course he’s lost big games - all managers do - but he’s won many more games than he’s lost & therefore when he does lose one it’s big news. That’s why he’s unique (unlike Mr Capello)

Rewatch City vs madrid the 4-0

or city vs united 6-3

He is part of the problem this season .
Looked like he wasnt arsed yesterday .
I think it is no coincidence that most of the team have been out of form all season ,probably quietly pissed off with boring tactics & hanged out to dry high line chaotic defence with no cover .
Haaland gets no service & at the moment looks a shell of the player he was the last 2 seasons .
Fitness levels look low compared to most of the prem .
He's lead them to four successive premier league trophies, yup they probably think he's useless.

"Do you know what I don't like about Guardiola? His arrogance."

Self awareness isn't Capello's strong point, is it?

Fully expected to open that article and find a few truths sprinkled in there and that people on here were being overly defensive.

But, no. The guy's just an absolute weapon.
Agreed. A closet Mussolini.

You're missing an FA cup!

(And for what it's worth two community shields)

I’m not sure what is worse, a Scouse loving twat, posting a 3 month old story, from a Spanish outlet, or somebody who would actually post it on the said managers club forum.

I think the original story was from Sky Sports Italia, Sky Sports. Now, just think about that.
