Do you give a toss about England?

I may get interested again if we had a manager who was allowed to manage and pick his best team.
When you see the advertising boards TV adds etc you know which players have to play as the sponsors have spent their money propping up the FA so unless injured they are guaranteed a shirt.
Wrong players playing, player shoehorned into the team out of position.
Is it any wonder we are shit, it's a team game and if you play as a team with the best players in their own position playing, not a collection of names playing you can win. Look at Portugal this summer.

So until then count me out

Can't stand the twats. From being a supporter of the national team, I lost interest the day they decided to become the embodiment of everything that I despise in the game - ie "Club England" - aka the international super-rags. The likes of Ashley Cole, John Terry, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Jack Wilshere. How any City fan can cheer the likes of these tossers just because they are playing for England baffles me.

No interest at all, its just games I fear injuries for our players
However its a sad state of affairs that the country doesn't get behind 'its' team, FA have to burden most of that responsibility

Well over it, pointless giving a shit over a hastily assembled tournament team based on ego's, managed by someone out of their dept, just waiting to be crucified in the press

I used to.

Back in the mid to late 70's I went to watch England both home and sometimes away.

Me and my mate went to the 1980 Euro's in Italy where we played Belgium, Italy and Spain. We were teargassed in Turin, nearly stabbed 3 times twice in Turin and once in Naples, a bit of an eye opener.

I stopped going in the mid 80's and although I still enjoyed watching England the World Cup 1990 in Italy and then the Euro's in England in 1996, sometime after that I fell out of love with them.

I don't know why, maybe I've just got old!! I doubt I'll even bother watching any of the forthcoming England games.

No. Went to the game at City 2004 (?) and it felt like watching someone else's team. Got to say that the England fans really annoyed me that day. Will never do it again.
