Just as the BNP are a left wing party (see the political compass thread), so were the Nazis.

Lefties hate to think that this kind of mass murderer along with Stalin thought along the same lines as them.

Which is why I hate the left wing of the political spectrum.

there is a big difference between left wing authoratarian and liberalism as there is with the right wing.

Hitler's ideas were actually more right-wing in our conception of it. But Stalin was what we'd consider left-wing i.e. communist, as was Mao.

You're right, it doesn't matter where someone is on the political spectrum, everyone is capable of committing horrendous acts.

Hitler was a racist who happened to kill millions upon millions of people whom he decided he didn't want to exist anymore.

the whole foundation of nazism in germany and facism as a system of governing is founded on its hatred of capitalist liberal democracies and communism.

Whilst communist dictators are often as abhorrent and power hungry in its truest form, governing a country under a communism is very different to the manner in which germany was governed post-versailles.

im also sure you will find communism is an ideolgy. the fundemental set of beliefs that it stood for was never put into practise.
