I can assure you: I don’t do a solitary second without getting paid.I know what job he does and he definitely wouldn't be paid additional money.
Nor should any worker as any time spent beyond contacted hours adds to corporate profits.I can assure you: I don’t do a solitary second without getting paid.
Looks like the military, who have to accept their all, will be working over and, although in the same position as those that are striking, will be in very different circumstances.Nor should any worker as any time spent beyond contacted hours adds to corporate profits.
I feel for them, I do, but when we have a Govt, that is happy to use them to break strikes I wish they would say to there masters.....no fuck offLooks like the military, who have to accept their all, will be working over and, although in the same position as those that are striking, will be in very different circumstances.

Yes have done for years since I left school 30 years ago. I work in logistics/shipping it's always been an unwritten rule. To be honest I have always kind of accepted it, if I don't (or didn't do it in previous jobs) I would have probably lost my job.You work several hours unpaid? And you accept that? I’d join a union and seek better conditions.

When I was in the brigade if you got a late bell just before shift change you went you used to get an hours overtime for every minute over the hour so at 1800 you got an hour if you went past 1901 you got a hour, they then cut it so the second hour you only got 15 mins so a 1901 would only get you an hour if you did until 2000, if you got back before 1915 you got 15 mins etc. Now bearing in mind the cuts sometimes on big jobs you may nit get relieved off the oncoming crew for hours, you could end up doing a 19 hour night shift, because of lack of manpower and shite management, we were well within our rights to walk off the fire ground, can you imagine that leaving a burning mill because they expected you too stay! We almost missed a flight to Spain once because the dicks forgot to order reliefs! Yet this is all forgotten when they go on about you been sick twice in a year!Yes, business watchdogs and the like, love banging on about lost hours due to sickness, smoke breaks etc. etc. But strangely never seem to point out the millions of unpaid hours each year that are routinely worked across all industries.
