i think that chelsea game was at the end of the 83/84 season and was the first live second division game ,think they stuffed us two nil.the bbc began that season showing a live game on a friday night and itv showed one on a sunday ,then they swapped the season after,then back again the year after that,the first live league game was spuds v forrest around sep 83 i think,was great if you supported the existing sky 4 plus everton and spurs ,don,t think we ever got much of a look in ,but at least it was free.

don't like monday night football. it's neither a weekend game nor a midweek game. i'd rather have a sunday lunchtime kick off than a monday night. although i'd really prefer a saturday 3pm kick off to be honest.
