when we lost 3-0 to Arsenal last season.

That day was my one of my first times on Bluemoon and I will remember it more than anything else for the hordes of Arsenal fans who came on here giving it the big one.

One comment that seemed to crop up again and again was how they were a much better run football club than us and that we should take a leaf out of their book when it came to building a great team.

If any of those Arsenal fans were visiting tonight I just wondered if you had any more helpful advice for us.

Like how to capitulate in Europe or lose a Cup Final, maybe?

I wasn't here then, so they gave us both barrels eh ?

Ok my sympathy for Wenger's position stands, but fuck feeling sorry for the fans. Stick your melba toast and caviar up your vip suite arseholes.

I remember this. They still believe they are doing the things the "right way". Any success we have will be hollow and bought. We are apparently a plastic club who dont deserve it. Funny how the bitterness flows now. Was it goonerovski or something daft like that who came on here quite a bit rubbing it in.

I remember that. It was like an in-your-face that they had won a battle.

But they hadn't won the war. And now that game seems like a distant memory. Ironically it was probably Nasri's performance in that game which first caught Mancini's eye.

To be fair they looked okay tonight, still got a half decent side with new additions to join in the next week. I thought Gervinho, Van Persie and Walcott played some good stuff together, and Ramsey is a good player. They still have Wilshere and Chamberlain to come in as well, so I don't think it's time to start sneering about their team, they will still be a threat, like they have for the last 2 decades.

Nope. According to Roberto he wanted Nasri 5 years ago at Inter.and had been tracking his progress ever since.Bobby is no mug..look at the recent report of swansea manager Brendan Rodgers being invited to become one of our coaches in the early days of Bobbys reign. He has his finger on the pulse.

-- Thu Aug 25, 2011 3:35 am --

I didn't know that. Bobby has a good eye for talent, that's for sure.

I still think the main reason for Hughes sacking was that he wasnt trusted as a judge of player. All of Robertos signings have been quality, granted, the jury may still be out on Mario, but he is a fantastic judge of a player.
