I never thought that Fergie would play a kids side on Wednesday. He might have had one or two, but the backbone would be Berbaflop and the Scouse Git up front, Mr. Personality on the bench, Carrick and co kicking folk in the middle and the best backline he can muster. They need the money - financial fact - never mind the kudos of beating noisy neighbours - they need the dosh like they've never needed it before. Good FA cup run, half share of all the home ties they would have had - all turned to ashes. They need the Carling Cup now to keep the tourists happy.

Shit me this negativity is scary, the way some people are going on we might as well not turn up to the game on weds, just forfeit to save the embarrasment!!!

During the game i was thinking the same but the closer it got to full time i changed my mind and just laughed at them :)
 
Despite being so "cool" as not bothering about the League Cup United would have been deperate to beat us on Wednesday even if they had won today which is fair enough.

What we must hope is that our players are on the ball, get a fair refereee and a bit of luck.

What they want and what they get are now two different things.
 
Yeah a draw and a replay would have suited us better, more chances of them picking up injuries and the little kids would be tired. ;)
