Does anyone think we´ve improved in 12 months?

Serious question - in points we haven´t and we´ve had similar results away but lost to Sunderland away and Arse at home - defensively better but with the money spent should we be doing more? This is NOT an anti Mancini thread

Just got back from todays game.
We talked about this coming home and mentioned about the cup game in Jan which we lost 3-1.
Miles better and looked especially in the 2nd half a very very good team
We lost 2 points today due to Milner going off and being replaced by AJ who does not track back.
Thats the reason why RM doesent pick him for prem games

Delicious.

Defensively massively but still lack concentration and tempo. We have progressed as quickly as I would have liked. We need to start winning home games now starting next week. 2 wins in 6 isn't great for a team wanting to challenge for titles.

We have improved yes. So has the entire premier league in general over the last few years. Have to look at the bigger picture, the squad we have is superior to 12 months back and will continue to get stronger. The players we have bought are mostly the right age and can be here for years. We are getting rid of some of the deadwood and Mancini has had what 11 months, 2 windows?

This year the battle is on for top 4, next year with this team settles, slight improvement in squad and the players more adapted to the league and each other i expect a title bid

We never played like that last year.

I was just wondering as Mancini needs 4 points from the next 2 games to have done better than the same stage last season - is it just the closeness of the PL this season or are we still 10/15% short? - I really am not sure tbh. On paper the money HAS brought in better players - if we dick the next 2 opponents it would prob sway me in the affirmative - we´re due it at home anyway

I totally agree with you on this coz the first half we were magnificent - the first half today however....
It´s beginning to look like any 4 from 5 for CL - we need the scum to be found out and Arse to falter if we want to avoid another shoot out with the dreaded Spuds
