Does the constant slander about City bother you?

It use to wind me up and I would become very defensive about it.

Because I'm a slow learner it took a while for the penny to drop. However, once I realised why they (media/pundits) do it everything changed.

I use to think the negativity we received was because they either didn't like us or that they were jealous of us.

It's none of those things. The propaganda aimed against Manchester City is simply to placate and ease the discomfort, anger and bewilderment of the masses from clubs such as Scum. Liverpool and Arsenal.

Their fans cannot accept that a football club like Manchester City is able to make their clubs look like amateurs on and off the field.

These historical top four clubs cannot come to terms with the fact that their model no longer works. So it's easier to blame Manchester City for their woes than it is to take responsibility for their short-sightedness.

A few facts:

Liverpool were a shit second division team in the late 1950s until the Moores family with its money from Littlewoods Pools (gambling) rocked up and they went from spending 2-3 thousand on players to spending 20-30 thousand on players overnight. They subsequently bought all the success that followed.

Liverpool were front and centre at the beginning of the 1980s for putting an end to clubs sharing its home match-day revenue with the opposition thereby distorting the competition in favour of clubs with higher gate receipts.

In the 1990s Liverpool were front and centre in the creation of the Premier League and the G12 in Europe, both making sure that money went increasingly to the successful clubs at the expense of competition in both domestic and European football.

English clubs were banned from Europe for 5 years and have all-seater stadiums because of Liverpool.

Liverpool have failed FFP twice, once they weren't in Europe the second time to the tune of £50 million which was written off against investment in its new stadium which of course didn't materialize.

They gave us £l million having been found to have hacked our youth-team computer system.

They brick your team-coaches on those special European nights at Klansfield.

City, on the other hand, have been found to have failed FFP due to UEFA changing the rules on players wages AFTER we handed in our books to them.

And we're the bad guys.

For those saying they're not bothered, well that's great but I've suffered personally at the hands of some of these lowlife pieces of shit. Delaney, Corbett, the two Harrises, have themselves attacked me directly, and encouraged others to do so.
In a roundabout way, Nick Harris tried to get me sacked from Bluemoon. He specifically mentioned my admin status on here to the club in a complaint about City fan behaviour on Twitter which is fucking rich coming from him. This is because he was attempting to share personal information about a City tweeter who kept pointing out the massive mistakes he was purposely making in his reporting about City so I shared some of his personal information and he got all uppity about it.

He also got me permanently banned from Twitter for the 6 minutes it took me to make a new account because Nick Harris doesn't understand how the internet works.

Not in the slightest bit true

Not by the media perhaps but by other clubs fans or even their own. We are minted and everyone hates it. Who the fuck cares. No point arguing with people who have an agenda.

I used to get bothered by it but couldn't care less now.

It annoys me everyday,it’s same shite written and talked about and the club do nothing.
All this Kick it out plastered on every programme……then you keep hearing “Arabs, Oil money, Human rights” blah blah blah
Always wondered what angle they would come with if we were taken over by a king of an African country? How would they say Black cheating owner without saying Black?

White racist money laundering country-invading american owners - fine!
Dirty brown muslims owners -disgusting!

The club only have themselves to blame by not nipping it in the bud at the beginning.
Instead, they take it on the chin and invite all the fuckers to the stadium a few days later for free food while having the best seats in the house.
If we weren’t City fans, we’d probably associate Etihad with cheating and sportswashing and bad ownership - the exact opposite of what sponsoring is all about.

Our wonderful owners have done so much for our club, football and the city of manchester. But unfortunately the media and other fans concentrate on what part of the world they are from.
Upsetting really that they do not get the recognition they derserve.

I wouldn't mind having a intelligent conversation about the accusations, but that's not going to happen. You would hope eventually the penny would drop with supporters, particularly the ones with similar or bigger turnovers to us, and that their clubs are being mismanged or bled dry. Until then, the accusations against us deflect the real issues with their clubs. They are fightened to dream and to hold their clubs to account. We are their excuse for failure.

It took two mins to get my back up yesterday , back to the usual pundit/ comm crap and wanting the other side to win , it grinds me down over the season ,half the stress i get is them, makes me so annoyed i cant concentrate

It does bother me. 99% of the time I ignore it or I remember that the person who has just written shit about us is a moron and delete the response I was about to send because there really is no future in engaging with morons! Occasionally I lapse and engage and inevitably end up going round in circles with thick as pig shit Dippers and Rags which doesn't solve anything. The UEFA investigation and the ramifications had we lost at CAS were beyond comprehension and my heart still sinks when I see a flurry of activity on the FFP thread. I just hope that if, and when, this PL investigation is concluded and we've been cleared of any further charges the club recognises those in the media that have been complicit in trying to harm the club and, as we've read, individual fans and makes very public examples of them.

It annoys me intensely; but it's of a piece with a 'culture' where numerous fuckwits believe any old bollocks. Unfortunately, a very large minority, maybe a majority, are very happy to believe lies that fit their agenda/prejudices/ignorant opinions. This goes a long way beyond City, or football, and is an established fact of modern life.

their fans behaviour is shamefull and often overlooked if Leeds or Millwall had their checkered past they'd never be forgiven
