Dominic Cummings

The weird thing about the Cummings affair is that to defend him the Govt has to retroactively reinterpret their own rules and regulations on lockdown and throw millions of people, ie voters, who didn’t look for lockdown loopholes under the bus.

And that's exactly it. They are trying to now convince us that there was wriggle room and that they have only just noticed, despite they themslves writing it.

The exceptional circumstances clause was introduced to allow people to flee domestic violence. #

The Government are gaslighting us. The media should not relent.

Honest question.

Why does any of this come as a surprise to you?

Honestly? For him being a bit of a ****, he is a shrewd political operator and wouldn't be where he is and wouldn't have had his success without being so, regardless of you like him or not.

The play was resign or be sacked by agreement, lurk in the background for a few months and slink back when its all died down.

To not see that and bring it to this point is fucking schoolboy stuff.

Even more weird shit...

‘Michael Gove has told LBC he has 'on occasion' driven to check his eyesight, but the Minister said he was 'not an authority on driving.' @NickFerrariLBC

well firstly to him he's the only 4 year old that matters.understandable. secondly the legislation is there for all 4 year olds if needed.

You, me and him know that the lockdown process, policing and the infection rate would have been chaotic if every family with a child started moving from their home to get to their 'best place' at the first sign of symptoms.

You, me and him also all know that it is statistically unbelievable unlikely that two infected parents of their age would both end up in a state where they can't muddle through and look after their child.

Thousands of others realised the above and they managed it. Are you suggesting that he is/was incapable of realising these points?

Everybody reacts in a different way to the same situation, he chose this way. I have never said his situation was any different. However he is being hounded because he is the chief adviser to the PM so maybe he thought his circumstances were different. I have no idea why he thought his circumstances were any different that's something you will have to ask him. Of course nobody else in the country has done anything like him have they? Maybe I will ask my neighbour whose autistic son has been staying with his grandparents during this pandemic but has visited his parents nearly every day and gone out with them before going back with his grandparents. I wonder why they think that is ok shall I.
You know the problems that come with autism i presume?

How did fleeing to Durham not risk infecting others? I'd like to know what were the usual childcare options in London that were all unavailable.

We all know that the government could have made absolutely anything he wanted or needed available to him in terms of choldcare, but he decided he wanted to get away from London for a bit. Not because he needed to, but because he wanted to.
well firstly to him he's the only 4 year old that matters.understandable. secondly the legislation is there for all 4 year olds if needed.

Pretty sure if any cabinet minister had been asked on Friday if those movements for those reasons were within the legislation, they'd have told people to stay put.

And even if his movements were within the rules (weren't), it would only serve as yet more proof that the governments rules weren't clear, weren't easy to understand and weren't communicated effectively.

Again, not comfortable with shit like this either.

A bad judgement call by Sky News. Hounding elderly people is not exactly fearless journalism. SKY news and SKY Sports have the same problem. They think their own staff should be the story instead of reporting the facts.
