This is getting pretty scary now. It's starting to look more an more like the beginnings of a totalitarian state.
If you look at the Ukraine scandal in isolation;
Whistleblower comes forward to the Intelligence services - The IS Inspector General passes the complaint to congress as he is required to by law. His head is now reported to be on the chopping block, just for doing his job.
Maria Yovanovic, the Ukrainian Ambassador was hounded out of her job to 'get her out of the way' so that they (Giuliani and Co.) could carry out their corrupt scheme.
Lt Col Vindman (and his brother, who had nothing to do with the case) has been removed from his White House post for complying with a legal congressional subpoena, and telling the truth.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, and there have been more people who have lost their jobs in this administration because they didn't want to play a part in the corrupt schemes, or they reported anything that they considered to be illegal or immoral.
And that's before you get into any of the shady goings on at the Justice Department with the AG.

It’s been scary for some time. Even Lev Fucking Parnas said on camera that it all came together when Trump got Barr, because then Rudy could do whatever he wanted and the President had an AG that had his back. BTW, Trump still has Rudy digging up dirt and shoveling it to Barr.
We are officially a Banana Republic, and I’m not talking about a swish clothing store! Trump’s budget jacks up the military budget while slashing social programs, so that he can stay in good stead with his MIC for when the day arrives where people are in the streets (again). This time, it won’t only be women in pussy hats, either!

Heard reports on this on Maddow's show last night. It seems if anyone doesn't do Trump's bidding, or otherwise gets in the way of the administrations corrupt scheme's their careers will be ruined in an act of revenge. Straight from the Putin playbook.

I find it absolutely impossible to he shocked by anything he does. He knows that there is literally fuck all they can do, even after committing treason by siding with Putin. The Mueller report said if he wasn't sitting president he would be charged with obstruction, then Ukraine, calling the FBI Nazis, denies fucking a porn star while his immigrant wife is pregnant, then gets found out that he paid her off. Threatens opponents, incites violence, pulls out of Paris agreement, is Kims lapdog, tells the courts to fuck off, sacks people who tell the truth. How the fuck anybody could be shocked with anything he does, seems as if people have been in a cave.
He is emboldened because he knows the US checks and balances are fucking useless. He will get worse. Much worse. What's going to change him? Nothing. Absolutely jack shit.
