Yes, Frank the Yank and I were discussing this earlier. 4 of his last 10 events were/are there. Huge influx of folks from outside the state -- retirees, research & development, huge colleges, very diverse ethnically and job base-wise . . . NC has changed a ton in the last ten years. Hence the gerrymandering and the radical rightward movement of the panicked GOP base there after decades of fairly moderate conservatives. TX is moving that direction too, as is GA (gradually). FL will always be purple I'd guess, but if NC or GA or God forbid TX ever shifts perma-blue the way CA, OR, WA and CO have, the GOP is toast in the Electoral College.Listening to LBC on the school run and apparently the fact he is having to spend today in one of the Carolinas means they are worried.
