Donald Trump

Well I’m not sure ‘Most people probably agree’ is reliable either.
In the interest of my own objectivity I just thought it needed pointing out that this is precisely the kind of statements I’ve seen you pull others up on, rather than counter the meet of an issue that they addressed with a’manner of speaking’, so to speak.

Sounds pedantic? Well it probably is.
Something else to bear in mind.

Fair Enough. Even though, I don't think that's what I do. Albeit I can see how you might come to that conclusion.

When I make Conclusory statements, I'm happy to expand on the claims. As I have clearly done in this thread.

The general thrust is that RFK has coockie views on vaccines. The evidence I've seen don't actually don't support that conclusion. At best he is suspicious of big government and big Pharma which are good things

And on a myriad of the issues he rants about, some of which I have summarized above, MOST people don't disagree.

Reduce processed chemicals in our foods
Employ More efficient farming practices
Eat less processed and more real food

Stop the Regulatory Agency to Pharmaceutical lobby pipeline.

Do you agree the above are all generally good things?

Re your list of things. He won't achieve any of that. It would require the house and Senate to pass bills and Trump to sign. The lobby groups will reach for the cash draw and brown envelopes and Trump will get the fatest one.

RFK has a history of promoting conspiracy BS. There is no doubt or ambiguity here. The stuff he believes is easily disproved and yet he choses that over scientific consensus, even after its pointed out to him he's wrong. He still pushes invermectin. Anyone like that is unfit for a low level job in that department. Let alone head it up.

RFK Jr wouldn't even be fit to clean the toilets at the DoHHS. He is a fully paid up member of the antvaxer movement and definitely played a part in the deaths of people as a result of his rhetoric.

Fair enough. But if he could achieve any of them would you disagree with any of them? If not, then we are in agreement. If he could work on those things, I'd be totally fine and supportive.

Well, that's not what I agree with him on.

Right. Stop there. This nonsense seeps over. Persons of lesser intelligence shall we say stopped having their children getting the MMR jab following a year of facebook taking hold which is probably about 20 yrs now, maybe? There was a rise in measles in children, shock. These things are medical advancements to be enjoyed and yes respected. TB got my dad as a child. He still has issues now from it at 75. Nobody gets TB anymore or very few. No point arguing against stuff for the sake of maintaining a contrary view.

May only be of marginal interest but thought this was worth posting.

From page 3 of the book I have just started:

'Traditionalism is today's least-known major philosophy...[It] has been used to encourage respect for the environment, compose great music, and reduce hostility between followers of different religions. It has also been used to support very different causes, from the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States of America, to what many might call fascism and racism, not to mention terrorism. Some have blamed a Russian Traditionalist, Aleksandr Dugin, for Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. The Traditionalist philosophy, then, needs to be handled with care. It is not always a good thing for someone to become a Traditionalist. It would be good, however, if those who oppose fascism, racism, and terrorism could more easily recognize Traditionalism when they see it.'

The author is Mark Sedgwick and this is the book:

And here is Sedgwick giving a public lecture on the subject (spot the major rock and roll star sat on a sofa at 0.23). I haven't watched it myself yet as I want finish the book first.

On the off chance that anyone's interest has been piqued by the above, this article provides an overview of what Traditionalism is:

Dax should be a huge supporter of Governor Newsom.

The California Food Safety Act is the first law in the U.S. to ban brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, propyl paraben and Red Dye No. 3.

He would love California.

No HHS Secretary should be anti-vax. Immediately disqualifying. There is no counter-argument. Next.

You like to think those within the HHS will give RFK the short thrift he deserves. He shouldn't last long.
