Landon is currently (imo) a better option for the squad than SWP. Landon does not come with the gobby, chip on the shoulder father and probably doesnt think he is worth £100,000.00 a week. He can go past a player every now and then as well. Bye bye shauny.

If Donovan is prepared to come and be a fringe player then I would welcome him. We have loads of decent players at the club who will be bit part players but are not prepared to fill the role. We need to get players in of that quality who will. That said, I don't reckon we're really after him so ignore everything I've said, it is totally pointless.

Totally agree. Jose saw nothing special in him and all this coming home bollocks from him and especially his nob of a father was bullshit. Him and his dad aint no good for team spirit. £100,000.00 a week lol.

SWP (like Ireland) had a dip in form last season and which other club is going to pay him the kind of money he craves. Sad to say it I know but reality.

spot on de niro....

swp is a much better player than people give him credit form...yes had a dip in form but is as good as anyone we have at the club on his day...and will continue to be

some peoples opinions are tainted by the chelski sale (and remember it was documented that swp didnt want to go to chelski but it was done for the beneift of the club as at the time we desperately needed the money) and his idiot father.....

I'd rather have Donavon, he may not have the pace SWP has but he has the versatility, strength and the ability to cross a ball which SWP does not have.

Sweep, in full, jinking flight, is a joy to watch. Don't really see the point in swapping him for Landon Donovan.

I remember when he came back, pre-takeover. I was so happy that day.
