According to his interview shown on SSN just now, Deadly Doug met our beloved owner in Manchester when Villa played - apparently they need somebody just as passionate and rich as him too!

Not so deadly anymore, sadly. It seems that age has caught up with him.

Clearly a more modest man than John Madejski, as Ellis, at least, stopped short of naming the entire stadium after himself when he owned a club. I've always quite liked the idea of naming something after myself tbh. It displays a healthy sense of self-confidence ;-)

Awww, poor old Doug got a bit confused. But he's not on his own. Seen a few pieces recently where Khaldoon has been named as the owner. Tardy journalism really.
